This mobile is old school, requiring a wind-up to work. It makes lots of noise when winding so it tends to wake the child up a bit more when you are winding it. It is not quiet by any means. We have a playpen from Graco that came with an electronic mobile and it works great, making no sounds when operating and it starts/stops with push of a button. Plus it has music and nature sounds. This mobile does the job and honestly wind ups have been used for 100 years so they do work as designed. But more modern options are available for a similar price.

I order the entire rock angel crib set including the mobile for our baby girl that's due in October. It arrived in a few days and i was like a kid on Christmas morning opening it. i must say it is even more adorable in person, and is made very well! the material is super soft, and the colors are more vivid than they are online! i am so happy with my purchase and me and my husband can't wait to set up her room. we had searched everyone for a baby room set that was more rock and roll style to match our style and all the ones we found had skulls on them( which are very cute) but i didn't want her to wake up to skulls every morning. LOL so this is perfect, and her bedroom set is black and even thought this bedding has a chocolate trim around the pink, it's such a dark chocolate that it still matches with the black crib set. everyone should get this, you will be very happy with it :D

We purchased this for my daughters crib and it matches everything else in the Trend Lab Paisley Park decor set perfectly. My daughter loves looking at it and would stare at forever if the music was infinite! lol I give it 4 stars because of how it attached to the crib. I fear its going to leave marks. Also, because of how it attaches, it doesn't feel very sturdy. I definitely wouldn't put my daughter down directly underneath it.

I love the way that this mobile looks and feels. Very good material. The music plays like an old music box so you wind it up and then it plays. The only thing that I wish was diffrent is the way it attaches to the crib. If you have a crib that is one of the sleigh beds or has a solid back it is hard to attach.

... but that's about it. The music sounds absolutely terrible. Very 'tinny' or something. Assembly was easy enough-- except the middle bear. It was difficult to get the satin tie threaded. I finally had to ask my 10 year old niece to try it (figured little fingers would work best) and SHE couldn't do it. So I just sat for awhile until it finally worked.I register for it again, because it matches the bedding perfectly and we have other sources of noise in the nursery (sound machine). However, I would not buy it. For the price, the quality is just too low. If they cut it in half, then I would happily recommend it.

Doctor recommended a black and white mobile with shapes to stimulate my new granddaughter. This mobile definitely fits the bill.At two months she can't take her eyes off of it and constantly kicks as she watches it.

This mobile is nice and has great quality. The only issue I have with it is how the Bears attach to the hands of the mobile. They have to be attached by having a knot at the top of the string it hangs from and then placing the string on the hand and with the knot it stays attached and doesn't fall through. I'm not a fan of this because I don't make the greatest knots, especially when the string is that thin and small. For me it's too much drama just to get the Bears on the mobile.
