Microbiology Essentials (Essentials Study Guides)

Very basic for college level. I opened it, skimmed through it and never used it. It may work for high school.

This is great study guide that sticks the basics. It's also a really good way to refresh material if its been a while.

My college professor suggested this as a supplement to our learning in the class. It was not mandatory to have, however it highlighted the important information from our book that he would be teaching. Having passed the class already, I took it again to improve my grade. This book, along with hours of studying, additional teacher-student instruction, and little social life for a semester helped me achieve a full letter grade improvement. I paid around 6 bucks for it. Definately worth it for ANY microbiology student. Get it before class starts.

This is a thin and easy to carry, 0.25 inch thick x 8.25 inch long x 5.5 inch wide, straight and to the point reference / study guide for Microbiology. It appears to cover all the major points with just what you need to know. I would recommend it as a refresher or supplement.

This book has been helpful so far in my general Microbiology class. I used this in combination with another study book and my textbook. It's written well and this complex subject is broken down nicely to give you the main ideas.

A great book for a refresher in my mini course but not a substitute for any course. I thought the book contained a majority of the concepts found in lecture, however not in detail.

Helpful for understanding the basics of Microbiology. Suitable for Third level students in any science course, esp if not coming from a science background.
