Good from about 30 feet. Any further back and the lights on the house are not sharp and clear. But I am pleased and recommend this unit.

I purchased two of these and they make the exterior of my home look great. I used to string lights all over, but to be honest, at my age it just isn't easy and sometimes impossible. So I "graduated" to these and really liked them.They come with a remote control to set the color (red, green or red/green together). They also have buttons that will allow flashing or not and the speed at which the projections move. Also a timer for various hours on after activation. I have these on a separate timer and they come on in the desired pattern at night and do not have to be re-programmed after each use, which is great. The color is vivid and the red designs that animate independent of the green trees, snowflakes, Santa, reindeer and stars really make the display stand out. The cords and plugs are substantial and less likely to receive damage than most others I have seen. The plugs fit perfectly into a three way outside adapter and the indentations on the plugs allow them to insert snugly for a water resistant fit.These would have been perfect except:Update: 12/16 Within ten days of setting these up, one failed. The green laser quit working and only the red one that only makes dots works. Tried manual resetting, unplugging, and waiting 15 minutes, pressed the button on the unit rather than the remote and no green at all. Returned to Amazon. Disappointed that only half the house has a decoration...maybe we will end up totally dark if the second one quits too. Can't give this more than one star because short use failure of a seasonal item that is used for a short time is totally unacceptable.

My husband purchased this with the intentions of setting it up outside our home to project on the house. Hasn't happened YET (it's been about a year now).He DOES set it up in the living room to drive the cats crazy LOL.This projector is sturdy. The laser lights are very bright (even with the household lights on). I don't know if there is a remote to this projector (like my title says, my husband ordered this). It's very easy to set up (if my husband did it, it was a cinche because I set up the cable boxes, stereo, DVD players, car stereos, etc) LOL.

I’m only giving 4 stars because the only thing I disliked was the length of the cord. The lights are beautiful and vibrant, but I bought this because I have a huge yard and one outside outlet so I needed a “ long cord” as advertised. I’m now going to have to buy another extension cord so I can get the full effect. But if that’s not an issue, than you will be pleased. Plus the manufacturer sent a wonderful note with purchase. All around I’m very happy with this product

Was really hoping for more brightness. Some people say “bright” but I have to say no. Best way to describe it would be this: put some regular string lights in your tree and then dim them down to about 5% of full brightness. I have several of these types of projector lights and this one is the dimmest and least noticeable by far. this was something like $29 or so. I see many in the $70-$100 range and I think you probably get what you pay for. I went with an inexpensive one and it gives very little impact. Maybe in the pitch black of night it would be better, but with normal street lights and porch lights and ambient light in a neighborhood, it is poor and you can barely seen anything.

I had high hopes for these lights for it Christmas decorations. The colors are great but will drown out if you place them too far from your target. To cover a typical home, you would need a lot of these. Would not purchase these again.

Great outdoor Christmas light. Has no remote but you don't need one when you use a timer. Reviews on this light are mixed in with reviews on a different light which is affecting the ratings.

I like this projector. The twinkling lights are not too big. You can have them moving if you want. Or the lights can be stagnant.
