prAnaE.C.O. Yoga Mat, Black, One Size

This has been my go to mat lately. It’s got better than average (not great) traction for someone who sweats a lot like I do. It takes a few weeks to break it in. It compact so it’s perfect to carry around. However, it’s a little on the narrow and short side so i find myself wanting a little more surface area, but it’s still a very good mat.

i practice advanced Vinyasa yoga every day, so my mat is extremely important, and i'm admittedly pretty picky. although this mat is good quality and i love the texture on one side (lots of little bumps all over produce a nice, "grippy" feel), the material of this mat is its downfall: the other side (with the arrow/triangle pattern) is more slippery, and, combined with the flexibility of the material, there is too much "give" when in down-dog and hand-supported poses - you feel unstable, which is not good for melting your heart and relaxing into a pose. the thickness is good (5mm) for knee cushioning while in low lunges, etc. and not too thick for balance poses (GOOD!); however, due to the texture of this material, the first time i put my (clean) feet on the mat, there were dust marks all over it, and the side that was on the floor picked up every single spec of lint, dust, hair, etc. that was around me - the dust marks may be due to the black color of the one i ordered, but i chose black to avoid a dirty-looking mat: with the daily effort i already go to to keep my mat germ-free, i really don't want to SEE dirt on it, too. i hesitate to recommend a shiny mat (those tend to tear/peel off in small pieces with rigorous use...hence why i was eager to try an eco-friendly matte material), but this particular material didn't work for me.

This yoga mat is so good that I bought another one for my wife.The mat provides a solid, comfortable, low-stretch base for practicing yoga. Definitely worth the few extra bucks when compared to entry level mats.

Began to crack sooner than I expected... A bit less than a year with regular use. Other than that I loved my mat.

I am a teacher and have practiced on many different mats including Manduka and Jade. But this mat is my all time favorite. It's super cushy and is the stickiest mat I own. I will always recommend prana eco mats to my students.

I ordered a few different mats to try after I wore out my Jade Fusion. This mat looked and felt like it was made out of cheap foam. I was afraid I'd rip it over time. I was surprised by this since I own the Prana Nomad Travel Mat and the materials and quality are SO much better than this ECO mat.

This mat smells so strongly of petroleum products that I have not even been able to use it. I have aired it out for a day, but I still think I will have to send it back.

So much thinner and less supportive than I thought, could have got a mat at the supermarket for this quality and yet I spent 50 bucks on this!! I hate it!

High quality mat with excellent grip out of the box. Would purchase again, but with how this one has been holding up, it won't be anytime soon.

Great quality and sustainable product, nothing more you could ask for. Great for yoga, stretching, and bodyweight exercises.

The yoga mat is awesome - really nice & grippy! I've been using it outdoors in near 40 degree c heat, and it seems durable.I was disappointed by the packaging however. Ironic that an eco-conscious mat arrived in a comically large cardboard box with FAR too much paper stuffed inside to protect it, as if it needs protection at all!

Regulär yoga practice. The mat is well cushioned and I have used a previous similar mat that I liked and replaced it from same brand.

Read a lot of stuff before I bought a mat.Considered the price, the mat is not good, because it slips away.
