Nice and soft
Safe to use for amphibians, Easy to clean, moist and soft. Works great for my Tree frogs and toads. Great for Pacman frogs and other frogs or toads. Good size bag. Doesn't have any bag chemical smell and is a dark brown color.

Great for Tarantulas
I have both Aboreal and Terrestrial Tarantulas I use this substrate for and it's been the best I've used. Never any issues and holds moisture like a champ if you need it to.

Snake I In His Happy Place
My B. Python loves this. He feels and looks great in his environment. I like how it keeps the terrarium humid and sharp-looking. The price is wonderful too. I'm glad I found this product. We are both happy with it.

Cheap substrate
Pro- looks natural, holds moisture and produces humidityCons- very dusty u must keep wet to keep dust down. Might not be good for diggers unless it is completely soaked and kept wet which might promote mold

My Tarantulas love it
I got this for my tarantulas as a lot of other substrate I have utilized ends up hardening and drying out, which can be harmful to them, especially slings and juveniles. I mix it in with vermiculite and sphagnum moss. This has been fantastic. It absorbs water very easily, holds its shape, and allows for really, really solid burrowing. My M. Balfouri communal absolutely loves it and their tunnels stay intact. I have a 0.5" Pseudhapalopus sp Blue that makes many, many tiny tunnels in their enclosure and it stays in shape for them without issue. Every tarantula I have switched over to this, appears to be much happier.

Good for more moisture dependant tarantulas
Pretty darn expensive for the amount you get but it's a very solid substrate. If you have something like an LP tarantula I'm sure it would love this substrate. Not for arid species and desert dwellers.I've seen some people mention thorns... I've dug around in this substrate more than I'd like to admit and I've never ran into any thorns. No mites in my bag either, which is always good.

Works for my tarantulas
As a relatively new T hobbyist, I purchased this for my substrate. Overall retains moisture within the enclosures with less cross ventilation, but dries quite quickly in more open enclosures. As I continue my research, learning I should have mixed with perlite or the like. Will continue to use this for future rehousing, adding to the soil mix.

Nice Quality
I got this as it was recommended for tarantulas, after that I now also add it into the substrate mix I use in my leopard gecko, crested gecko and ball python tank as well. Also is the perfect consistency to use for background builds when using a substrate to silicone to foam.

Not worth the cost...
Product itself is fine but if you need this substrate for a 20 Gallon Aquarium for example, it barely covers the bottom so you would need several bags. Far too overpriced in my opinion and would not recommend this product by any means unless you plan on spending $80 for a substantial floor covering for your aquarium.
