We purchased this to replace a 30 year old traditional ceiling light in our laundry room. It was easy to install on the existing box and is significantly brighter than the original.

What I didn't realize when I purchased this is that the unit will need to be completely replaced once the battery wears out. I had it installed by an electrician who was doing other work in my house so wasn't aware until I asked him if he needed me to get a bulb for it. To me this is wasteful and it's not something I would have purchased had I been aware. Supposedly it lasts quite awhile but still, at the end of its time the entire unit will be in a landfill somewhere. It does work well and is very bright which I appreciate. I wouldn't buy it again however due to the eventual wastefulness of it.

We bought this to replace an ugly old dome light in the hallway, and this fits pretty well with the coastal theme we're going with for the house.. It's simple enough to wire up, a white wire, black wire and a ground. It comes with a round disc that attaches to junction box in the ceiling but can be mounted to the ceiling without a box if needed. The fixture is very lightweight, the dome is plastic and the metal bits are not very thick. Might be a con for some but it doesn't bother me, made it easier for me to put up honestly. Biggest con I can think of is that if the light ever burns out the whole fixture will need to be replaced, but for the price I won't complain. It's also very bright, which is great for the hallway.As far as the dimming features, I have not fully tested this. I do have it on a dimmer, an old one, and it works fine. However, there is another non-LED fixture on the circuit that probably keeps the usual LED-on-an-old-dimmer issues from manifesting. If you intend on dimming it on its own make sure you have a compatible dimmer switch.

This light is good looking and very bright. It was also easy to install. The cons are that the 'globe' is some sort of plastic. I ordered this light over another one because that one told me it was plastic, and this one did not - so I thought it would be glass. You cannot tell tho, so it's good. The less than perfect rating is also due to the color of the light. It is nice and bright in a long hallway, but it is such a white light. I would prefer a touch warmer glow. But it's good!

This light exceeded our expectations. We have already ordered a second one. We still marvel at the difference in brightness compared to our old fixture.

This light was pretty easy to install and it is super bright which I love. I do highly recommend this to where i would replace every light in my house with these lights and they are dimmable! Yes please!

The light is crystal clear WHITE...no warmth to the lamp whatsoever. Installed two, one in front foyer and one in hallway -- is insanely bright white light. I may move to laundry room and garage for these units -- they are plenty bright and functional, just no warmth in the light color to make a house feel like a home.

My husband and daughter's boyfriend took a good hour to install this in place of another fixture. They said the instructions weren't clear. However, it's great quality, looks awesome and doesn't require a lightbulb. It has LED lights instead, or that's how it was explained to me. I'm not sure if that will be problematic when the LEDs stop working, but we'll see. The light it gives off is pretty bright, also, which we needed, but if you're looking for more subtle lighting, this isn't your fixture.

I bought seven of these light fixtures so that I would have the consistency of having the same light fixture in every bedroom and in the upper hallway. They come with the LED lights already in them so no need to buy light bulbs. Unfortunately, we discovered that one of the lights was missing a decorative casing and a nut that goes over top of the mounting screws. Much to my disappointment, Amazon is now out of these light fixtures so I cannot return it for a new one. Not Amazon's fault. I will be contacting the manufacturer today to see if I can get the missing piece from them.

This item is very nice. We are happy with our purchase except one of the lights was not complete. We are missing one of the screws and the bracket to hang the light. My contractor had to use only the two screws and the bracket from our old lights.
