Homeschool Book For Our Family
I just received this book and I'm impressed by the content. I bought it as an add on book for our homeschool chemistry class. I love the diversity of chemist in this book. I included pictures of some. My favorites are Marie Curie, Rosalind Franklin, Tu Youyou, and William Henry Perkin. I found it brilliant that the author included so many women in this book. Also Rosalind Franklin is recognized for her DNA structure and not the 2 men whom stole her work. The reason I rated this 4 stars, there is a lot of stuff to the experiments and special containers. I do think it will be a bit costly for some experiments for my family. We are on a very limited budget. I think the experiments are wonderful, just be prepared to purchase quite a few items/glass containers/white ceramic plates/ etc.. That stated, I still think I will purchase the other books in this series.

Fun books!
All of the Kitchen Pantry Scientist books are so neat. I use them for homeschooling. Hands on experiments after reading about someone or something is always fun!

Great book to get kids interested in science
Loved the variety of fun experiments and the step by step instructions. Would have loved more pics but my grandchildren are always excited and happy about the new learning journeys it offers.

Educational and Fun
My 5 year old loves this book. Its not only a story book (about the scientist and what they invented) but then the book has fun and engaging science experiments and images for the kids to do. Great quality book as well - i'm a sucker for nice paper and book bindings - and this book is both durable and has high quality thick paper!

Not a fan of this book
I wanted simple science experiments I could do with my grandchildren while they were visiting. These were neither simple or quick. Many took overnight or a couple of days to see the results. The experiments called for many items I did not have in my kitchen pantry. The information on the scientists was good but not for a child under 10. Instead of being able to do experiments with the grands, I had to send it home with them to do at home. I would not recommend this book unless you are prepared to spend hours or days on the experiments.

A great buy
I bought this book for my science loving daughter. I love how the book is presented and that a lot of the scientists in the book are female.
