Quartet Bulletin Board, Fabric, 4' x 3', Frameless, High-Density Fiberboard, Oval Office, Gray (7684G)

I had a project in mind when I bought this. I had an old world map that had been folded up for moving several times, and wanted to replace it. I found a laminated world map on Amazon that came rolled up in a tube, much more attractive; I needed a surface upon which to display it. Although this board was a bit pricey, I took a chance on it and couldn't be more pleased!It comes with two little triangular wire hangers on one long side; I thought to find something else, but in the end didn't want to fool with punching holes in the frame. I hung the map with some little velcro-like patches that I also found on Amazon, so there are no pins to deal with. It's been hanging now for about 6 months, and the map is still flat, no sagging or whatever.The fabric is thick and woven, if you look at it closely in strong light you can see a lighter surface underneath, but for the most part, it's not noticeable. Frame is substantial, and the fabric comes around the back and covers it. All in all, I'm very pleased, and am now buying another for my girlfriend, who loves it!

This board does have a hard frame that is covered, so you can’t put a pin in until you’re about 3/4” from the edge of the board. It works well, seems sturdy, easy to install.

I bought this for my son to hang in his bedroom and he absolutely loves it! It's nice and sturdy as well as attractive. The only downside is that it may be a little too sturdy. Some push pins can end up bending if you don't use fairly strong ones.

Very excellent quality... far better than expected... easy to put up. Perfect for what I wanted... to pin up grandkids photos with deco push pins. Put it on wall beside kitchen table. Love love love it... far better looking than a cork board would have me... kinda classy for a bulletin board ..... thank you to the manufacturer! : )

So, I received this product via Amazon on Aug 13. Upon opening the box, I immediately noticed a very pungent smell coming from the product. I, of course, put my nose closer to the item and took a whiff to be sure that it was, in fact, the board that smelled so badly. I thought, no big deal. Probably a foam or something underneath the fabric that needs to air out and get a healthy dose of Febreze. I did just that, I sprayed it down like crazy and left it alone. I actually put it in my office and left the window open to help the room to air out as well. The next morning, upon opening the office, the entire room smelled like the terrible odor of the board. I again, sprayed it down with Febreze. And when I say I sprayed it down, I basically used an entire bottle of Febreze on this board. I put it outside for 2 days and brought it back in because I did not want the black fabric to get all dirty. Well, here we are 14 days later, and that smell is still there. I do not know what to do at this point. I do not have a box to send it back. I'm guessing is isn't a size that's easy to send back either. i looked at other reviews on this product and did not see anyone else complaining of this. I wish I could keep it. I do like the color, the size, and how tight the fabric is pulled back (not too tight but it also isn't droopy at all). Maybe the seller would send me a new one and I could send this one back? Anyways, I'm not saying do not buy this. I'm just saying that I did get one that smells horrific and I can't keep it.

The backing separates from the frame too easily, cracking, but with careful handling wouldn't be a big issue. Overall it is a nicer look than most bulletin boards and much less blatantly "office like". In terms of actual use, I find it too stiff to pin things into requiring a lot of force so not as convenient or nice to use as traditional cork or foam board.
