Excellent camera, support could improve
Once I received a fully working camera, it was fairly easy to set up and worked flawlessly out of the box. I went with this one after researching several others for a few reasons, primarily because it uses the relatively inexpensive simHero card for sending pics to my phone. I purchased to use for security purposes in an area without electricity/wifi, and it provides peace of mind that I am notified by text (with a pic) if motion is detected. The quality is really good, and I like that it can take both video and pics (only sends pics to email as far as I can tell).I would have given full 5 stars for ease of use, but unfortunately I received a bad camera the first time around that would not send out the pics. I opted to work with the company to resolve the issue instead of just returning and purchasing a new one, and spent a lot of unnecessary time in communications and troubleshooting. While they seem friendly, response from support is extremely slow and not particularly helpful. They sent me a new SD card as their proposed solution (after several days of delayed, back-and-forth email and text communications) and it did not resolve the issue. I ended up returning the bad camera and purchasing a new one.All said, I may have a need for a second one in the future and will definitely purchase another!

UPDATES: 1) Doesn't catch game when its cold. 2) Originally advertised app functionality taken away
-- Update 1/9/2022 - Does a lousy job of detecting game when it is really cold.Ever since winter set in here in Maine, neither of my Creative XP trail cams have been reliably taking photos of game that cross their field of view. I'm constantly seeing new deer tracks in the timed photos that the cams take each day, but they are never taking photos of the deer themselves unless it is a warm day (e.g. well above freezing). The cams have taken a few timed photos with the deer present at night and they barely showed up in photos so I can only write this off to the infrared motion sensors not being sensitive enough to detect the deer when it is really cold. If your goal is to catch photos of game in cold weather, these cams probably aren't for you.-- Updated Review --I've lowered my review to one star because support the app that was associated with this trail camera has been discontinued and no longer works on Android 12. The termination of support was without warning and apparently, the only way to get photos from the trail camera is to have them sent to my email. This also means I can't control the camera remotely. Having photos go to an app and being able to control the camera remotely were the two primary reasons I chose this trail camera over other options.-- Original Review --I purchased this trail cam to help monitor the construction site of our new home. The biggest challenge I had was getting the companion app to work correctly because of the font used I couldn't differentiate between lower case "l" and upper case "I", which meant I was using the wrong email address for the app.I do get a lot of false positives where there is nothing in motion triggered photos. I can only assume this is caused by birds flying through the photo area, but at least with false positives I know the cam is still functioning. The photo quality of the original photos are very good. The photos sent to the app are well compressed (even the big photo option) to minimize the amount of cell data they consume. I do wish there was an option to send instructions to the trail cam to send the full sized version of desired photos to the app. This could be helpful if I need to read license plates or vehicle door signage. It might also be cool to be able to retrieve and share the full sized photo that captured some special wildlife without having to physically go to the trail cam.Overall, I'm happy with this trail cam. It seems to work well for what I need. The companion app does have a few bugs (for instance, it doesn't display dates right in the app's gallery) and there are a few features I wish the app had, but overall the app works better than the companion app for other devices, like a drone, I've purchased a while back.

Great camera thus far
The 4G GLASSRAVEN trail camera itself is very easy to setup and change settings. The menu screen is very user friendly with plenty of options. The camera appears to be very well constructed and I did receive everything in the package as advertised. I did have some delays however, getting the simHERO card activated... not any fault of Creative XP. It took two hours for simHERO to activate my card after card registration. Email verification for the new registered account never came through my email as they said it would when I completed registration. Not sure why the glitch, but after an hour and half of waiting for that email address verification, I decided to send a message to the simHERO help desk with explanation of my issue and the card not being activated yet. Directions say this process takes 5 minutes. Very shortly after my email, a simHERO 3G two bar signal to 4G and my signal strength went to full bars strength. I was then able to take and send test pics and videos from the camera to both the email and cellphone that I had set up. Very good quality pics so far... We'll see how the camera holds up in the field. I have not tried to take any pics beyond a 35 foot range during the nighttime yet... but so far everything works appears to work as advertised. I do not plan to use the additional phone app at this time, as if I need to tweak the camera settings or access pics that I did not send I can do that while I am physically at the location where I will be setting up and using the camera. It would be nice however, if Creative XP did make a phone app that does work with simHERO card, as it would be convenient to be able to tweak some camera settings and check other pics that were not sent during unique or special conditions.

Pricey, but worth every penny.
The setup for my camera went very smooth. The instructions were easy to follow and the camera came pre loaded with the sim hero card and the sd card. The image quality is excellent, and you have the option to send files in full resolution up to 12mp.I had an issue with my camera a few weeks after inatalling it where it would send me the previous saved photo when it was triggered. I emailed their support, and within a day or two I got a response that they suspected the sd card may have a problem. They sent me a replacement in the mail immediately and a new sd card fixed the problem. They really stand behind their products and want their customers to be satisfied. I for one am quite satisfied and will be buying more cameras from CreativeXP. You get what you pay for, and in this case you will not only get a quality product, but people who will stand behind it.
