KitchenAid Classic Prep Bowls with Lids Set of 4 Small Nesting Bowls for Ingredient Prep and Storage, Dishwasher Safe

These bowls are exactly what I was looking for and more. They are a beautiful color, very sturdy and perfect for preparing ingredients for baking to have ready for the next day so all I have to do is pour and mix. There are negative reviews that mention how small they are. The Amazon description accurately specified the size and volume code of the bowls. They are not mixing bowls. They are prepping bowls.Update March 26, 2025: I still use these bowls (about once a month) to prep my bread ingredients ahead of time and I still like them but one bowl buckled/ warped on the bottom so it doesn’t lay flat and one lid doesn’t snap into place on the bowl anymore. I have never put these bowls or lids in the dishwasher or the microwave. The only thing I use them for is to hold flour and grains for my bread baking and I simply rinse them in the sink and dry them with a cloth after I use them. Consequently, I would rate them them 3-stars now.

Yes.. they’re small but they’re prep bowls. I’ve used them for storage. They feel pretty well made for little bowls and the lids are easy on/off.

These are nice bowls. I didn't realize until they arrived how small they really are. I probably should have read the product description in more details. Just be aware they are very small.

They’re super cute and small, these would be great bowls for lunch takeout and making small sauces, but they’re much smaller than anticipated. I would’ve appreciated if the sizes of the bowls were listed somewhere in the product description or options!

Okay, not really what I was thinking it was going to be. I was wanting nesting "mixing" bowls, this is not it. I missed the part were it said prep bowls. The pictures Amazon shows are a little deceiving. So I include one next a standard keyboard for comparison. Giving this 1 stars but that's mostly my fault. I will give my impressions though. For this to be a KitchenAid product the plastic feels a bit cheap. You know that kind of cheap that if they were to get dropped you would fully expect it to bust in half like something you bought from the dollar store. I do like the larger flat bottom on the bowls; it's not going to rock around the counter or get accidently spilled in the frig. I haven't used them yet so not sure how they would hold up to microwave or wear and tear but I hope this helps. Not sure I would recommend at the price they are listed for currently, maybe if they were under 10 dollars that would be seem fair.

Would be great if they sealed, but they don't at all. Lid just sits loosely on the bowl.
