I am so happy with this chair! so comfortable, roomy, soft, sturdy, easy to put together! Just put the back of the upper chair down into some area of the bottom back of the chair and your done! My husband and I did it in about 2 minutes. Now I have room for my Standard Poodle and my Chiweenie to set with me at the same time. They really love it too. I would buy this again and again. I did research for weeks before I bought this and I am so happy that I went with this one. I recommend buying the one with the motor, it's so worth it and has worked beautifully every time I have used it. I also bought the extra warranty. Things can always go wrong with anything with a motor, so I feel better with the extra warranty.

This chair is so comfortable! I do wish the controls were on both sides for when my husband and I sit together.

UPDATE: I've had this chair for 4 days and the right side of the seat is now dipping down lower than the rest of the seat. I've flipped it over and nothing seems broken, so the best I can tell is it's an inner spring issue. I am pretty average sized, about 5'5" 165 pounds and live alone so no one has bounced on it or abused it in anyway. Also, there is already a permanent impression in the padding on the foot rest where my legs lay. That's pretty disappointing and something you'd expect from a 4 year old chair, not a 4 day old chair. Considering returning it, but not even sure how to do it since at this point the enormous box it came in along with the packaging has already been broken down and gone to recycling. This will definitely make me think long and hard before making such a large item purchase from Amazon again.This is definitely one of the widest recliners I've ever seen, could easily fit two adults or an adult and two kids and its very soft in a nice dark grey color. Unfortunately, those are all the nice things I can say. There is not much padding and while I can tell there are springs for support, with the lack of padding, you will start to feel those springs like an old mattress sooner rather than later. Also it is short when fully reclined. I'm 5'5" and my feet from above the ankle hang over the end which is not very comfortable. Also it doesn't lay flat when fully reclined, the back still has a substantial tilt. The last and weirdest part is when its not in a reclined position, the seat is entirely too short from front to back. It feels extremely awkward to sit in when not reclined. It wasn't a bad price for a power recliner with the large space for sitting with grandkids or dogs, but it is quite obviously not built to last. You get what you pay for.

This was a nice, wide, mostly comfy chair. I did not find it good for crashing like previous ones, but the wife did. It started falling apart fairly quickly, but we did use it heavily, almost certainly beyond specs, and our daughter loved jumping on it. It's ready for the dump now, BUT the motorized recline still works perfectly and the foot rest is still in one piece.

Sad about this purchase I have bought several of these Ashley recliners over the years. They were always well made. Not this one. The metal frame is thinner and the boards are not as strong either. We are already having issues with it. And it is just passed the 30 day mark. Where the other chairs lasted 3 or 4 years with out problems. And some other those were purchased used as well. To pay $750 plus taxes and shipping and to already have issues with the frame rubbing causing a jerking when opening and closing the recliner. Truly dissatisfied and disappointed after being in the hospital for a month to come home to a new chair and only enjoy it for a few weeks and now have to worry how long it will last. I lost over 120 lbs in water weight in the month I was in the hospital so its not from my weight it because it is not built as strong as before. The upped the price and are cutting corners of the sturdiness and strength. If you never recline it , then its strong and sturdy. But once you recline it becomes wiggly and starts sticking as the metal frame bows just enough to rub and then pop against each other and it does not matter what size the person is. Even my 140lb adult daughter it does it with. Now I am stuck with a chair that can break down at any time and I am out over $800. I need this chair from recovery.

This chair is very uncomfortable. I tried to like it because the size is perfect for me and my dog but I am returning it. The edge of the footrest broke the first day. It also falls over if you change your position. Would not recommend. Edited to add- I requested a return and chair was picked up. It has been over a month and I still have not gotten a refund. Please be very careful when ordering large items from Amazon. Normally returns are no problem, but not this time.

I was nervous ordering furniture from Amazon. The delivery was amazing better than any brick and mortar store could provide. 2 strong guys, chair was in a box and seems perfect condition so far. Chair came in 2 pieces, easy to put together. The chair is not as deep as the Ashley Hogan chair I had before. I`m 5`2 and my toes barely have enough room. The front once opened makes you feel tipsy, if you lean forward once opened it will tip. Easy open /easy close. Ultra soft to touch and cushioned well. The footrest does not open flat feet n legs slant forward. Over all its a very nice chair its just the quality isn't there in Ashley products like before glad It came with a warranty which is a plus. Amazon rocked with their service and delivery and I won`t hesitate buying furniture from them anymore. The grey color is beautiful.
