2-14-13. I'm giving this 5-stars on initial review. We shall see over time how well it works. Product is a very liquid black silicate adhesive. Use care when applying as it tends to be runny and drips. If you spill it one anything, as I did on the nice fireplace carpet, it cleans up easily with soap and warm water when still wet. I actually used Mr.Clean multi-surface cleaner and it worked well to remove the black adhesive from a colored carpet onto which the glue dripped. It comes off your hands easily. So far, it's good.2-18-13. I used MEECO'S RED DEVIL 110 Gasket Cement and Stove Sealer to reattach loose gasketing on my Fireplace insert and it worked well.

Can be used for high temperature stove. Soft and easy.

PRO: Worked to plug up excess burner holes on a smoker. Worked great.CON:Tube came with a crack in it and product leaking out. Typically Amazon packs this kind of stuff in plastic bag just in case of leaks but this item wasn't and some of the other items in my order were stained with black sealant. Luckily it was nothing serious.

The gasket on my Lopi Patriot stove began to separate from the door. When this happens you are "supposed" to remove/replace the gasket and clean/remove any adhesive residue. I had just replaced the gasket last season so I wasn't really in the mood to go through this process again, plus I didn't want to pay for a new gasket so soon. I simply put adhesive where the gasket was coming up, right on top of existing adhesive and has worked perfectly for the entire season. No leaks, no separation. By the way, this has been the coldest winter ever here in New Mexico, I've used my stove every day since fixing back in the fall. This stuff really works.

Not easy to find wood stove caulking in my area. Thankful Amazon was able to send it quickly. I was able to close smoke drafts quickly and effectively.

Works great, had no issues. Did knead the tube to make sure it was mixed. Have purchased a couple of these, they both seemed the same thickness. Reasonably priced, and enough to do one woodstove door seal with plenty left over.

The MEECO'S RED DEVIL 110 Gasket Cement and Stove Sealer is VERY strong. Unfortunately, the gasket I bought was wrong size. Reordered correct gasket, and now trying to remove the MEECO'S Red Devil Gasket Cement. Great adhesive as long as you don't have to try and remove it two weeks after original install. It is rock hard and holding the gasket material like you would not believe. Ended up using a chisel to chip most of it off, then a wire brush to clean up the rest. When they say cement, they mean it!
