Kaytee Come Along Carrier Medium

We already had one if these carriers to take our Guinea pig with us in the car during travel. The carrier (medium size) is big enough for one small pet and well ventilated. The carrier I ordered came in green , ughh . I wanted pink but apparently you get a random color . Needless to say it went back. Other than the color choosing problem thus carrier is convenient and easy it clean .

I purchased the medium carrier for my cockatiel before our move across the US. I have a travel cage but I didn't want to leave him in the car when I went into stores or restaurants. Out of all of the other pet totes I liked this design the best, its so easy to get my bird into. I never have to use the zippers on the sides since the one in the front is the perfect size. I coax my bird with some millet and a mirror and he is set. There is plenty of room for him to walk around and check things out but I would suggest getting the large model if your bird is any bigger than a tiel. (the attached photo doesn't do the carrier justice, it really is quite roomy)Be aware:-The bottom is hard to grip so you will need to put something down for support, I just folded up a hand towel and it works perfect.-There is only one mesh opening on the front, but they show that in the product photos- When I received the bag it smelled like chemicals so I ran it under the sink with a clean sponge and dish soap and opened it up to air dry. it wasn't perfect immediately but my bird was fine and after a little while there are no odors.- I didn't get a color option when I ordered, but I don't mind. I would rather make sure my bird travels safe.If you are looking for short term carriers at a discount, you cant beat this.

I initially ordered a large, but received a medium. The medium is small, even for 1.5 lbs main coon mix kitten. He barely fits into it. Thankfully, he prefers to sit and snuggle than stand or roam. The outside of the carrier is built sturdy, and I liked that you had one side of mesh and enclosure on all the other sides. As Mr. Biggles gets nervous when he can see things going on, he feels more secure with some enclosure, but still have ventilation. The crate came with no soft padded liner, and the vinyl inside is thin and Mr. Biggles had it tore up in a week, he is a kitten after all. I sewed a pillow to place inside, and their was no room left over. You must use a very thin liner. The mesh is poorly sewn on the inside, and again, in ONE day Mr. Biggles had it torn through it. Considering this crate is for small animals, which includes; ferrets, gerbils, rabbits, all which I have owned, I am certain, they would have done the same. I had to use a thick needle to puncture through and resew everything back into place. This was no easy feet, as regular thread broke, but thicker thread would penetrate. So if you keep plastic thread on hand, this will help with repairs. I didn't think of it at the time, but on hind sight, I do which there were pockets for storage. It would be handy for leashes, paperwork, toys, and treats. The zippers on the crate are flimsy. In one week Mr. Biggles figured out how to open them and escaped, which we thought we had remedied with paperclips, but he managed to get his head out, and I'm scared of him choking. Imagine this with a ferret, who are twice the trouble and energy? There are reflects on the top, and they reflect well, nice and bright, which is handy and safe. Mr. Biggles has his crate in the bathroom, and the night light reflects, without blinding. The crate doesn't stay standing up if you unzipped the two side flaps, as it collapsed on our kitten, and this made it uncomfortable for him to get in out. If you want something mid-grade then this is for you, especially if your not sure if you want a soft side carrier or a hard, but the price is a bit much for what you are getting and according to the size of the carrier. I could actually buy a better quality dog carrier that would come with with pads, a a strap, and a bandanna in very large size, all for the same price. I bought these for my lizards for my 5 day road trip to my new house. They worked perfectly! I didn't want to put them in plastic totes and cat carriers were just too big to have 3 in my already cramped car. These worked better to keep the warmth from the heat packs I was using in than a plastic tote would have, and the screen side door allowed them all to look out if they wanted to, and made it easy for me to check on them without disturbing them. The only downside is they reeked of plastic when they first arrived, so badly that it made my entire bedroom smell like plastic for 3 days. I let them air out for a week and they still smelled like plastic, but not overbearingly so. So if you're going to be putting a small animal in these carriers, I strongly recommend airing them out for a minimum of 5 days or washing them with hot soapy water a couple of times.

I bought the medium because I have a small breed bunny. The advertised size is not exactly correct. It is more like 13 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 7 1/2 inches tall. My poor bunny fits but will not even be able to turn around in the thing. Guess it's good bunnies don't mind confined spaces.... we will see how she does when I finally use it in two weeks.It does smell a lot like plastic at first, but I zipped one side and let the other side and front window open, it aired out in a couple days and doesn't smell at all anymore. I also have been letting my bunny play in it, and I give her treats in it so she can get comfortable (giving treats as I zip up the sides).The colors are very ugly, I was lucky I got the silver one. It looks a bit like light blue?? maybe?? I don't know, for the price, the color does't really matter.It seems very sturdy, and the inside is lined in plastic for easy cleaning, I put down a hand towel for cushion.JUST BE WARE OF THE SIZE ISSUE- ORDER ONE SIZE UP

Estoy encantada, al principio me preocupó un poco el espacio (tengo un conejo enano holandés con un poco de sobre peso) pero le quedó perfecta.No es nada estorbosa, es súper práctica, el tamaño es el adecuado, no pesa nada y es súper cómoda.Tiene tres detalles. El primero es que no sabes el color que te puede tocar. El segundo es que no trae correa con la que sujetarlo pero se le pude poner una sin problemas. Y el tercero la ventilación, al ser de plástico puede que en época de calor se encierre un poco la temperatura alta. Fuera de eso es una maravilla y el precio está increíble!

This carrier literally failed one way on the first use. I am completely sorry I bought this piece of garbage. I've since had to buy another carrier because I needed one right away. Save yourself the hassle and money, steer clear of this piece of garbage.The zippers are flimsy, and I could barely get my rabbit out, now the zipper won't close. There is supposed to be a mini metal cage insert you can buy from the manufacturer.. I have searched high and low and tried to obtain one - only to find out after hours of searching the product is discontinued. The inside liner of the carrier rips by even looking at it, and very unlikely safe for animals to chew. I got a completely ugly brown which was very different from the fancy blue one advertised - overall a terrible seller and manufacturer.

Muy buena casita transportadora pero es más grande de lo que esperaba. Anteriormente tenía una casi de la mitad para mi erizo. Ésta nos queda un poco más grande. Pero es buena, calidad Bueno, materiales y cierres. Fácil de limpiar.

El tamaño es excelente para mi cuyito, el material el bueno bastante bien por el precio ($200) muy economico comparado con tiendas de mascotas donde lo dan 3 veces su precio. Es practico y el unico inconveniente (que para mi no lo es) podria ser que no trae la correa.

Me gustó mucho el tamaño, el material es liviano y lo usaré para llevar a mi conejito a pasear, no viene con asa, pero se le puede adaptar una. Lo que no me gustó mucho fue el color pero no había opción de escoger, en general la relación precio-calidad es muy buena.
