It leave me wanting more..... More SRX speakers
For starters, the SRX line is probably overkill for my use: DJ indoors, for 100 people. Be aware that these are not your normal "plug-n-play" speakers. They are programmable. Before your first use you really need to plug them into a computer and program your own EQ preset. They come flat, and most people are going to feel disappointed with the performance until you program them and create your own preset. This might be more technical and more of a PITA than you want to deal with. I paired the SRX812P with my Yorkville 18" LS801P sub and it was magic. A single SRX812P out performed BOTH of the other main speakers I was using. I turned my old mains as far up as they would go, and the single SRX812P was so loud I couldn't hear them anymore, and it still had a LOT more headroom. The only complaint I have, and its really irrelevant, is that its not going to blow you away in the bass department. Its a great mid range speaker. That's why you pair it with the powered subs.

Awesome - I like em however I need a sub
I purchased two for my living room entertainment - mainly for my Latin neighbors - there love of music late in the evening caused this purchase - almost a year now it’s quiet in the evenings - can’t beaten -( join them )- just make sure u turn it down before police comes and they will stop at there house -

Earthquake in a box.
I play drums (and run sound) for a 6-piece band, covering classic and modern rock. I was using two Peavey 118D powered subwoofers to provide the bottom end, and they did okay for indoor gigs; however, we have some outdoor gigs coming up, and I realized the 300w Peaveys weren't going to cut it.The sound guy at our church demo'd this sub for me, and I was BLOWN AWAY. As a drummer, I like fat, punchy bass, and this SRX828SP delivers. The pressure coming out of the front could resuscitate an unconscious person! Not only can this thing move serious air, the sound is very 'controlled', not boomy (with the settings we use). It's just big, fat punches to the face with each kick.I ordered this speaker used (like new) for $1,700, and paired it with two JBL PRX715 powered speakers. I hooked all three speakers up to the DBX Driverack PA+ and our band's sound has been revolutionized.Just be aware - this sub is huge, and heavy. Definitely a team lift into a truck bed. It'll likely fill a truck bed by itself, leaving little room for other equipment.

Finally i have found a speaker that Not only sounds amazing but, has more volume than i need.
im using these speakers for Band PA. I have went thru the prx 600 series didnt have the warmthi wanted for guitars. ive have used the prx700 series for the past 10 yrs. i like them very much but i have used them up. now i have purchased the srx835p,s Wow, triple the Clear volume ,yes i know these are 2000 watts. but from the prx 600 and 700 series not even in the same class . for another 500 dollars a speaker GO with the srx 800 series . also the SRX connect app is AWSUM! i hooked up to the speaker with a wireless router and in 5 seconds set the EQ and now the speaker is putting out EXACTLY the sounds i want perfect highs mids for guitars and the Bass drum will rippp ur head off!!! im buying another set Hands down the BEST JBL

Arrived damaged
I am very happy that my speaker arrived today as expected. The sound quality is good just needs a little tweak out of the box .JBL is nothing short of great to my knowledge. However I’m very disappointed in the fact that my speaker arrived damaged. I love the sleek clean look that this speaker has but I am not satisfied with the dent across it. I wasn’t sure who to reach out to about this and on top of the $1,500+ that I paid for the speaker I also purchased the nearly $200 warranty so hopefully that’ll help my experience be amazing instead of mediocre.

Amazing for 30 Gigs
Never Hang up on me!Lots of misinformation about this speaker. I own lots of JBL speakers. I can tell you exactly how these compare. These speakers have very little headroom. I have set these up next to JBL PRX 615's. No real volume difference. For a speaker that cost 1600 vs 700 I would expect a little bump. The limiter kicks in almost immediately. JBL customer service misleads people into thinking this limiter can be raised by hooking up to audio architect and raising the limiter threshold, but this is not possible. They even have a tutorial on there website. But guess what, that is a post factory compressor/limiter. This secondary compressor is the only limiter you have access to. It does not control the factory limiter. There is no setting to raise this, only a limiter error report threshold which is useless. Once the rep understood that I knew what was really happening he hung on me. That's how JBL thanks there customers that spend thousands on JBL products. So here is my honest opinion on the JBL SRX 835P......Cons1.Overpriced2. Heavy3. Signal Buzz is a problem better have clean power4. DSP software compatibility is useless in real world senerioPros1. Freaking loud (but not louder then PRX)2.They sound pretty good Slightly fuller then the prx series.3. nice looking4. Brand recognition (drunk idiots love them). If you have a stack of good power amps don't make the switch to powered. I definitely regret the switch. On the bright side I can rent them out and not worry about an idiot blowing them. The limiters are very aggressive.(Update)30 Gigs later and one is already toast. Don't waist your money on these. They put out some volume and sound awesome. But there is nothing special. You can push anything hard for 30 Gigs and get high SPL.
