Shiseido Honey Cakes - Luxurious, French-Milled Soaps with Honey - Cleanses, Smooths & Softens Skin - For Face & Body

I don't mean to sound like I'm just jumping on the band wagon here, but this really is my favorite soap ever! I had never heard of it until my sister-in-law gave me a bar for Christmas one year. I was used to using liquid face cleansers for years, and even struggled with acne in my teen years and early 20's, until I realized I was causing the acne by using "acne products" which were too harsh for my sensitive skin and actually irritating it. I didn't use this soap right away until a friend of mine told me she had read that beauty bar cleansers were actually better for your skin because most of them don't contain added chemicals that are found in liquid cleansers, so I thought I'd give this bar a try. I immediately saw a difference. It was like a god-send for my sensitive, combination-oily skin! I recently read somewhere that this bar isn't supposed to be used on the face, but that's confusing to me because that's the only body part I've been using it on and it's FANTASTIC. It lathers phenomenally, leaves my skin fresh and clean but not overly dry and it's aesthetically pleasing with its fun, translucent colors (also comes in pink and green) and it comes in a cute, fun case. My only gripe, if I were to have one, and it's actually only about the case, is that the case doesn't clasp closed. I just put a ponytail holder around it for travelling. Smells great too! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Love it…very little goes a long way … the Suds are fantastic. I only used on my face and it cleaned tell well all the makeup and love the scent. Shiseido once again did not disappoint !

I have been using Shiseido honey cake soaps for over 30 years to wash my face. It is gentle enough for daily use but I like to use different products so I have my morning and evening routines. I tend to use the honey cake when I want a thorough deeper cleanse and I always use the Shiseido facial brush - just wet the brush, brush the top of the honey cake several times in a circular motion, replace the case top (another nice touch that the soap has a nice case to keep it aerated, dry and nice looking on your countertop), brush your face all over in circular motions and rinse. I always use with the Shiseido brush, it does cost a bit more but will last as long as you do! I am on my second one only because I dropped my first one on a tile floor and a piece broke off. The current one has soft rubber nodules too that give a tiny bit more of a massage feeling when in use (and it comes with a little stand to keep it in its place and dry after use). One cake last a very long time. I have also gifted these to friends. Everyone loves them! All colors are the same soap, only the color is different. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this product, but if for some reason you do not like as a facial soap, I know you can use as a body soap as well; I never have but would imagine would be a very nice decadent non-drying feeling, I don't know why I haven't tried it as a body soap but I just talked myself into trying it!

I got this soap to try soap brows. It has worked really well. No irritation! The fragrance is OK, not overwhelming, and the package is nice.

This product lathers well and is very creamy. I have really dry skin and bought it so as not to dry out my skin. It does not dry out my skin . I just wish it moisturized better. This is why I gave a 4-star and not a five

My absolute favorite soap...is decadent....makes a lovely gift that will be greatly appreciated

Both daughters love this soap and I am in trouble if I don’t include it in their stockings.
