Nice Product...
Nice product. Easy to install although it takes slightly longer than estimated. YouTube will help allot. Everything goes on well with the exception of the pin connector plate that screws into the underside of the bumper. Some directions will tell you to cut out additional plastic so the plug will align and to remove the plastic shroud. First get your self two longer self tapping screws, two nuts and some 3m two sided tape. The nuts need to be about 3/8th of an inch thick. Have someone hold back the shroud and use the double sided tape to place the plug bracket into place and drill two pilot holes. Remove the plate and place the two nuts between the plate and the metal cross member. These will act as spacers that the self tapping screw will go through and will position the plug in the proper place. Put the plug together and then while someone hold back the plastic use the self tapping screws to put the plug into place.

Socket cover hits bumper
I am relatively handy with common electrical knowledge. I completed this install my self and it took about an hour. The product mounted together as advertised until I got to the point of mounting the bracket to the hitch. After playing with bending the bracket, the socket cover is still hitting the plastic bumper. I will have to be very careful I do not snap off the socket cover when opening it. I have to lift the bumper up a bit to open the socket cover all the way. I would have given this five stars if I did not have the cover issue.Watch the YouTube video. You will not need to look at the paper instructions.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ht4-YLyMt7w

Perfect Fit
Everything included to wire your Honda Pilot. Very easy directions, but if you want it explained, you can go on You Tube and watch the video. Kit includes all fuses, relays, wire connections, plug and bracket. Even includes wire ties and double sided tape to install converter box. This kit is for the round 7 wire trailer plug, not the flat 4 wire plug. When you done installing this kit, every thing is ready in the trailer connector, even the back up lights and 12 volt accessory wires are hooked up in the plug. The only thing you would have to buy is the electric brake controller. But even that is already wired into the plug. It took about 20 to 30 minutes to install everything, including the bracket for the plug itself.Would definitely recommend this to anyone who owns a Honda Pilot.

Perfect for 2011 Pilot
Have a '11 pilot ex with factory installed hitch but no wiring. This is everything you need, including all the fuses and relays. Very complete kit, i would say just as good as OEM kit, took just over an hour to install. If you are handy should be no problem. Video available on internet showing step by step.Update:First time i tried to tow a trailer, only the left turn single was working, messed around with it, finally decided to turn the auto headlights from "auto" to "off", suddenly all break and turn lights were working as they are supposed to. I did turn them back to auto after that first event, lights seem fine. So if you hook everything up right, and lights don't work, try turning headlights to "on/off"

Easy installation. Looks factory...
Easy installation. Shouldn't take any more than an hour for even those with questionable mechanical ability. Directions were clear. There is an online video that shows this specific installation. Only reason for four and not five stars was due to a bit of difficulty drilling the holds for the bracket and because the bracket has to be bent just a touch to make it fit.

Great alternative to factory wiring
The installation is pretty simple. I am not the most handy person in the world and got it finished in about 20-25 min start to finish. My only complaint is the bracket needs to be bent in order for it to fit. More of an annoyance than a real problem but why not just make it right?? The kit comes with everything you need to install which is nice. All in all I'm glad I purchased it.

This works great except for the known defect of having to bend bracket to make it work. This item was made specifically for this model car and even the manufacturer admits you need to bend it in place. So the reason for only three stars is that with known defect, why do they not fix it. It is only a metal bracket, how hard can it to be to make one that fits correctly.I installed this quickly except for trying to bend it correctly, this took 75% of the installation time.

Pretty straightforward install but be prepared to sweat.
Ok, I have never done this type of work to a vehicle before. I have also never owned or used a trailer before. This was all new. The instructions were very clear about where to plug in the fuses and other connectors. You should have a decent metal drill bit handy as drilling into the bumper frame was a little taxing, but pulling down on the bumper cover really, really helps. Anyway, installed perfectly the first time with no errors. Was able to tow a trailer immediately.

Confirmed: works with 2011 Honda Pilot (I should have asked the dealer for this in the first place...)
PROS: simple installation, well built, does not require a rocket scientist to installCONS: Mounting plate requires a shim to align the plug with the molded opening; plate mounting screws are too shortThis kit is specifically for the Honda Pilot (mine is 2011). Please check compatibility before purchasing. The kit itself is well built and includes every item necessary to establish a proper 7-way connector. The instructions are simple with good visuals. Here are some things you should buy before attempting this install:1) di-electric grease; for all connectors2) 5/8" x 1/4" aluminum bar, 12" length; you can find this at Home Depot3) #10 x 1 1/2" self tap screws; swap these out for the included mounting plate (need longer ones to align correctly with the cut out)4) Official Honda push rivets for the bumper trim (optional)When you start to mount the adapter plate and 7-way plug, there are a few things you will need to do that are not explained in the instructions:First, the mounting plate is definitely a generic one, meant to facilitate several vehicle at best. This is a simple manufacturing step that allows CURT to use the same plate for different kits. However, when you try to align it with the cut out for the Honda Pilot, you will notice that the bottom of the plate may intersect/contact the bumper, making the alignment of the plug different from the bumper. You need to bend the mounting tab to match the angle of the bumper cut out (use a table vise to make it clean).Second, the mounting plate will not align vertically with the bumper cut out. Another reviewer suggested using longer tap screws and washers as spacers. This will work, but is not as clean or stable. I bought some aluminum bar stock (5/8" x 1/4") and cut a length to match the width of the mounting plate tab. This provides a more stable connection (you still need to buy longer tap screws - I bought #10 @ 1 1/2"; both the screws and bar stock can be bought at your local Home Depot). I also suggest pre-drilling the spacer prior to mounting so that you ensure the holes are aligned.Third, keep in mind that you will be drilling directly into the hitch mount. It is made of hardened steel, with 3-4mm wall thickness. Also, it is a very tight location. I would suggest that you use proper hi-speed steel bits and an impact driver. Next, to easily align the plate, use double sided tape to keep the plate in place, mark the hole placement with a sharpie and then drill away. Before you drill away, I suggest that you remove the push rivets for the bumper itself. You will notice that the bottom of the bumper is held in place @ two metal tabs and plastic push rivets. You can pry off the rivets (go ahead and buy a few spares from your local dealer just in case you break them) and that will allow you to bend the bumper out of the way without damaging it. This should give you ample room to use any drill and get the job done. Lastly, once you drill the pilot holes, I would use a proper tap tool, but if you don't have any, then pre-tap the holes with the supplied tap screws before actually mounting the plate/spacer. You will be using the longer tap screws (that you bought) for the final mount; you will need the spacer if you want the plug to align correctly!Lastly, once everything is installed and connected, don't forget to use di-electric grease for all of the contacts (especially the exterior connectors). Everything should be good to go!Oh yes, one other thing: when I completed the installation, I used the Hopkins 4-wire flat adapter with built in tester to ensure everything worked. It didn't: when I pressed on the brake, all signal lights would blink a few times and then turn off. I read that one reviewer simply cycled through the light switch (on/auto/off) and things worked afterwards. I did the same, but it did not solve the issue. I decided to disconnect the converter box (located at the access panel in the rear storage compartment) and then reconnected it. Once I did this, everything worked flawlessly!I think CURT should at least provide several shims to mount the plate properly and give you longer screws. Other than that, you should be able to complete this installation within 1 hour. I'll post some pics when I have a chance.Update (08.13.2015): I've added a few pics: the first 2 show the final position of the plug. The 3rd shows the spacer I used to mount the plate. The 5th shows one of the bumper mounts that you can pop off to give you more room to drill into the hitch mount. The 7th shows a piece of the alum. bar stock I used to make the spacer. The last pic is of official Honda plastic push rivots (10mm, not 8mm).

Good instructions and quick shipping
Excellent, quick install. I had to purchase a slightly different metal bracket for my 2010 Honda Pilot but this was a good deal and shipped quickly. Honda dealership wanted twice this amount and 2 more weeks to ship.
