I saw this on reddit and looked into it and loved it. I was paying $100 a month on spring water and I am very particular about water taste.For me the first challenge was finding someone who could do the installation and Elkay was little to no help. Frankly they were no help through out the whole process. You need a good contactor who knows plumbing, electric, and installation into the wall. Once I figured all of that out I ordered the product.Amazon sent the refrigerator part first without the wall unit. Then they sent the wall unit without the refrigerator part. I did finally get both parts, buyers should be aware to expect two packages.Once I got it here and installed it the taste seemed off at first. I then turned the temp down on the refrigerator portion and it tasted much better. I don't know if I got used to it or what but the taste is solid right now.After that and having it for a few months there were times that the water didn't shut off. I had to hit the power switch and reset it to get the water to stop flowing. Water got all over the place. Not sure why this happens but most of my debugging has not fixed it. It happens rarely but it does happen.With all that being said, when it works it is amazing. Make sure to try and keep the line between the refrigeration unit and the wall unit as short as possible so cold water comes fast. When we have other families over it is great and encourages kids to drink water. I would have/should have installed the drain and not the pan because kids struggle with it a bit and it can be a mess. For the price I would expect perfection. Would I do it again...probably because it is pretty awesome.

Package was delivered on time, without any visible damage at all. I installed it at customer place, next step was to mount lower unit where water line and filter is located. Once everything was done, I saw filter assembly is broken and will leak. I dodnt find broken part in box at all. Since all is was already installed in the wall I jist gave up all hassle with returning unit and ordered new filter assembly for another $56...I work a lot with Elkay units and never had issue like that...

This isn’t something you buy because you need it. This is something you buy because you want it.It’s expensive for what you really get, it’s nice, it does what it should, people say wow. Relatively easy to install. It was an additional $600 the plumber & electrician to do their parts.I made sure to wait for a significant price drop on Amazon to buy.

In the process of creating a space for a gym in our basement we decided to add this.. SO GLAD we did super simple install and works way better than our fridge water system! Water is fast, tastes great, and you can fill any size container…even a 40 ounce Hydro/Yeti!

Looks and functions great. Was expensive to install!!!
