Does a great job - main issues are caused by the OS and laptop firmware
The media could not be loaded. I really needed a better mic for some of my work calls but also my daughter has been asking for one to record YouTube videos with. I didn't want a USB mic for that reason - this mic lets you plug into phones with an audio jack as well as your laptop.Very impressive build quality and cradle.Setup wasn't as easy as I hoped on Windows 10 - my Lenovo laptop has built in software for the audio jack which lets you choose if the device plugged in is a microphone or headphones. Sometime I plug in and get the option, sometimes I don't, and sometimes it works but then decides to mute everything, other times it decides to try and send audio out through the mic and stops my hearing my laptop!!! None of these issues are the microphone. On my daughters iPhone it works perfect for getting better directed audio on her videos.Only downsides therefore are:- Windows 10 and other laptop software might cause you issues, but that's the same for any mic. If you have this issue you can either buy a USB microphone OR buy a USB audio adaptor for less than £10 on Amazon.- The splitter wire is quite thin looking, especially compared to the main cord which seems a shame, but didn't seem to affect the audio quality.Overall a great mic for the price

Decent mic for the price!
Honestly I was pleased when I opened the box, as it was professionally packaged and looked very nice. The set up was fairly simple, and didn't require the instruction manual to assemble. After it was set up, I plugged it into my phone and started testing the sound quality. The quality is decent but not much different to using no mic at all. In fact it picked up more white noise than my actual voice which was slightly disappointing. However I'm pleased with the quality of sound and the product.I recommend you buy this for streaming, gaming and YouTube videos after my experience with this microphone.

Professional looking, quality product
Since working from home, I've needed a professional microphone for meetings and voice overs of presentations and other related work. For the price, this scores somewhere between fantastic and excellent! In fact, many meetings have generally started with a "I like your microphone. Why would you spend so much on it when you can get this one or that one for £20-30". I do not tell them that I in fact paid around that amount. The only qualm I have about this is the wind shield/ filter that can be attached/ detached by the metal rod - It's difficult to exactly position and also difficult to screw tightly in position, the hexagonal nut that comes with it does not prevent the filter from loosening immediately. It sits quite close to the microphone itself. However, a simple fix was simply to bend the rod up a little. It's only a simple issue and the sound quality is great, especially for the price. In the microphone software settings, you can adjust the gain up to +30dB and so you don't have to speak/ sing/ shout loudly to be heard. (It's plug and play and works instantly for those who simply need a microphone for everyday use).Great value for money and would definitely recommend

works miserably with windows 10
Tried to use this to voice over for instructional videos, it is useless, it's a miserable slog to get it set up and working it is definitely not plug and play out the box on a laptop that doesn't have a separate. input and headphone socket.Tried it on 3 laptops following the instructions on the buying page and you tube videos and company website eventually resorting to an old laptop that had separate sockets and hurrah it recorded very, very badly everything sound like it's underwater I spent longer cleaning the recording up than I spent making it and eventually I ended up using a headset mike as it was less faff.To add insult to injury the spit guard was broken on arrival but as it was only me going to use it \I'd have lived with that had it worked okay

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT
This is probably the one and only review where i actually have no words to describe how happy i am with my order...The cheap price might be misleading and you might not expect the quality that you get, but it is definitely worth the money! The sound quality is absolutely amazing, doesn't have any background noise. The microphone attaches to the stand with the help of rubber bands making it so that there is no direct contact that can impact or vibrations that can cause the mic to produce unwanted sounds. It comes with all the accessories that you need even if your pc/laptop have only one jack for audio input/output. It is also very easy to use - just plug and play, no additional drivers or settings were required on my Windows 10 laptop.Absolutely love it!

Fabulous - works well
I bought this for use with an ATEM Mini Pro (mixer) that cuts between camera's and I needed something better than the camera mic's. I have had several mics I was unhappy with but this one really does a great job. It's sensitive but picks up well even if I vary the distance between me and the desk it sits on. I was trying to use a lapel mic but it picked up a hum, whereas this was clear straight away. The ATEM has ways to fine tune the mic for the surroundings so i'm pleased with the finished sound. Quality is good, a heavy well built construction and even the tripod for it is good and a solid base (despite the reviews I read). I'm happy to give it 5 stars. This is one of the few mics that are'n't using USB as I couldn't use one of those with the ATEM.
