Normally, I would never give a 5 rating when the shipment was 20 days late and missed all the important date, but I will have to make an exception this time.My daughter just started to learn knitting and wanted to knit something to celebrate the 4th of July independence day. She settled on this brand and we put the order in on June 11th, the goods were shipped on June 16th and tracking number provided with estimated delivery date June 18th, great timing.However, the tracking number stopped working on June 17th, and estimated delivery day passed without receiving the package. I sent a query email to the seller, who replied within half an hour indicating they were working with Fed ex to resolve the issue. A couple of days went by, Donna (seller representative) wrote me again saying Fed Ex struggled to relocate the package in one of their warehouses, she apologized and refunded our shipping cost. We traded emails for the next couple of days before Donna offered to make a new shipment and refunded all the money for the goods, without me even asking. Then on July 2nd, before the new shipment started, Fed Ex indicated they have located the shipment and the tracking number started to work again. Of course, it missed important date for 4th of July, it arrived on the 5th of July.Yes, we did the package for free, but that is not why I gave it a 5 star. through the entire journey, Donna has been with me (the customer) every step of the way. Rather than simply blaming it on Fed Ex, she worked diligently to resolve the issue, every single one of my emails was responded with half an hour, and all the initiatives including refunds and new shipment were proposed and executed by Donna.Accidents do happen, but I believe what you do when they happen determines whether a business flourishes or goes down under. I would have no reservation to order again from Donna, and be happy to recommend them to anyone.Thank you

I made a shawl using this yarn. My future grandmother-in-law likes muted colors, but I didn’t want to get just a plain black or something. No, I could FEEL Lion Brand would have something cool. This is an awesome yarn color way. It’s got some dark blues into a denimy blue, some maroons to it. It’s subtle enough that it doesn’t take over the look and make it busy, but it’s also not flat and boring.After seeing the shawl in progress, my future-mother-in-law wanted one! And the woman my dad’s dating wants one. It’s a genuinely gorgeous yarn and having spent over $100 on just THIS yarn, I have no regrets!It works up a little heavier and hotter than I’m used to, but that’s because of the wool. As a shawl, or sweater, it’s got a comforting weight to it and it feels SUBSTANTIAL. I’m using another colorway in this collection for my other future grandmother-in-law (the deep navy with denimy bits) and I can rest easy knowing both of them will be warm and feel comforted under the weight of the shawls made from this kind of yarn.I can only wait for the time I have enough time and money to make one for myself! 😅

I've heard knitters and crochet ers rave about this yarn for years, and I finally got the courage to try it. Wow, I'm impressed! My hesitation has been the bulkiness of the yarn and the weight of item as I knit. I have very arthritic hands, so bully weight yarns are a challenge. This yarn however is a game changer. The texture and silky feel make it a pleasure to work with. Larger needles and hooks make for speedier completion. Bulky is still challenging, but I have to say, I would and use the Lion brand Thick and Quick again, resting my hands frequently. I love the finished product.
