Would the energy-efficient-dryer effectively dry the granules? We have cats that are claustrophobic! They don’t like domed litter-boxes!

My cats are large and I don't have the dome on. It dries the granules just fine but it gets warm in the room that it runs in (I have it in a small room)

Will it function properly if the drain line is higher than the device?

I have the last model, and have the drain hose going into a toilet, and have never had an issue with it draining.

I have 6 cats - will it handle all of their waste?

Yes, I have 7 cats that use it. You can program to clean after 1 or 2 or 4 cats. I prefer to scoop in between and I manually set it to clean at 8 AM and 9 PM since they pee less often than poop.

How long is the cleaning cycle?!? I have emailed catgenie customer service and they didnt respond!

Mine takes right at 40 minutes from start to finish of the cleaning cycle. You can program it to clean itself after every use or at scheduled intervals. I have 2 cats so after monitoring when they go and how often (via the app) I figured out it was best for me to set it to clean itself every 12 hours. Early morning and early evening.
