Bought it for a friend who loved it - good present and high quality chord book

My son likes to sing along with the guitar with this book. A5 ish in size and just right.

As Chord books go... Coldplay fans really can't get much better than this little gem.For less than the price of a single PVG (Piano, Vocal, Guitar) album... you get the chords for every recorded Coldplay song in current existence... and yes, this includes every B-side they have ever made; giving any fan literally the chords for everything. In short, if you can find the track on iTunes - It'll be here.The book is compact with an excellent layout and presented in a way that's pretty easy to use.The only slight downside is that some of the chords are inaccurate. Owning both the PVG books and playing along by ear - I find that some of songs are presented in the wrong key here. This is, however, few and far in between, and you can probably correct these from the chord websites out there.But for its cost - An excellent little portable book

My boyfriends a huge Coldplay fan, bought for Christmas. He loved it.

Metto 5 stelle. Veramente ben fatto. Unica pecca è che si ferma all album di viva la vida. Attendo un seguito. Ogni canzone però ha il plus di mostrare la posizione delle dita per tutti gli accordi all inizio. Ottimo canzoniere per yli amanti del gruppo e buono per cominciare a districarsi con l acustica.

Fan de Coldplay des dernières heures, passe ton chemin !Ce livre est consacré aux 3 premiers albums du groupe et c'est tant mieux car ce sont les meilleurs, à mon sens.Pour apprendre à jouer leurs chansons, ce livre est pas mal pour des débutants, mais pas complètement débutants quand même.J'y reviens de temps à autre.Il n'y a que les accords d'accompagnement et pas les solos.Je le recommande.

I love this book. It has all the original chords to all of Coldplay's songs, even a couple EPs I'd never listened to. I do wish it had tabs as well, but the chords are good enough. It's especially useful since Chris Martin uses some wonky chords sometimes. Anyway, great book, I totally recommend it.

Das Songbook ist vorallem dann interessant, wenn man sich nicht auf "herausgehörten" Tabs oder Akkorde aus dem Internet verlassen will. wie ich dem Buch entnehmen konnte, werden viele Lieder im Original nicht mit dem Standard Tuning EADGHE gespielt sondern es wird häufig eine, zwei oder sogar alle Seiten umgestimmt. Diese Stimmungsänderungen sind für jedes Lied extra angegeben. Ebenso werden die sich daraus ergebenen Griffe über jedem Lied in einer Grifftabelle angezeigt.Über dem Text stehen natürlich auch die Akkorde. Man kann sich dann entscheiden, ob man das harmonische Grundgerüst der Songs mal eben im Standard-Tuning schrammeln will oder ob man etwas Zeit investiert, die Gitarre umstimmt und nach den "neuen" Akkorden aus der Grifftabelle spielt. (bei "Shiver" sind es etwa 20). Mit den Original-Akkorde kommt man natürlich wesentlich näher an den Originalsound heran. Nicht zuletzt deshalb, weil die Jungs von Coldplay häufig das Terrain von Standard-Dur- und Moll-Akkorden verlassen.Diese "schrägen" Akkorde dann im Standard-tuning zu spielen stellen für mich selbst nach 7 Jahren an der Gitarre hin und wieder noch eine Herausforderung dar.Fazit: Das Buch ist sehr übersichtlich, die sind Texte in aussreichend großer Schriftart abgedruckt, die Akkorde vollständig und dem Originalsound von Coldplay entsprechend angegeben. Die Songs sind in ihrer Komplexität nicht immer ganz einfach zu spielen aber dafür kann das Buch ja nix :)Kaufen lohnt sich!
