The Cadillac of wire brushes.
This Purdy non-handled wire brush and Purdy's other handled wire brush/scraper are both a cut above the rest. They're easier to use and to handle. They create a better and more predictable result. They remain fresher and more functional, for much longer than most, that is before you succeed in beating them to death. These are an example of where quality doesn't cost, it pays.

Perfect for a paver patio with a lot of thick moss!
Great brush! Very stiff, perfect size for paver patio stone moss removal, screws into any of painting extensions poles and the head is plastic so it won’t check and crack like wood. The brush works really well and I simply hosed it out when I got done.I have a large paver patio in my yard and the moss between the stones was getting out of control. When moss on a paver patio gets too thick it’s slippery, holds water against the pavers which can cause them to move around or crack and poses a trip hazard.I wanted to knock down the big clumps but not remove all of it because it looks cool.A pressure washer was out because I didn’t want to replace the expensive polymeric sand between the stones. I tried a regular stiff bristle push broom - didn’t work well. This stainless steel brush made cleaning up the thick mold easy and quick. I blew the debris off the patio with a leaf blower.

Didn't hold up to the job
I work in fast food, and the upper management installed this diamond plated metal on the floor under the grease fryers to 'make it look pretty'. What the effect of them is that the grease is engraved into it. And not even with the help of these metal bristles could break apart the ambulation of grease. Even in conjunction with hot water, and degreaser. It firmly stayed in place.I would like to say that the pressure I applied was adequate, as in it was not user error.

This REALLY works well in removing stuck on dirt from your floors!
There two types of people in the world when it comes to cleanliness. You are either a Felix or an Oscar. If you are old enough to have watched the Odd Couple on TV, then you KNOW what I mean. If you are unfamiliar with the show, try watching some YouTube videos of it. I guarantee you WILL laugh, and we ALL could use a little laughter in our lives right about now! In any case, I am a committed Felix, through and through!Anyway, no matter how hard I try, my floors always seem to accumulate stuck on “schmutz”. Being 70 years old and full of more than my share of aches and pains, I can’t get down on my hand and knees with a scrub brush as I could when I was young. I looked on Amazon to see if there was a cleaning tool that might make my life easier. When I saw the Purdy 140910300 8 inch Premium Wire Brush, I knew that this was something worth purchasing. It has stiff wire bristles, which loosen up anything stuck on my tile floors without scratching them up. It is not too large to use indoors or to store when not in use. To use this brush, you DO need a pole to screw into the back. I ordered a wooden pole (naturally from Amazon!) What can you say about a wooden pole? It works. End of story! To sum up, if you need a scrub brush that really works, the Purdy is an excellent choice.

Cleaned 5 years of grime from a composite patio deck
Easily attached to the same adjustable pole I use for washing windows and scrubbed away dirty, moss, and other organic material from a composite deck that had never been cleaned and for which power washing had NOT done the trick. I traded my arms day at the gym for a clean deck and love this product. Even after 5 hours of use, not a single lost or a bent bristle. It's ready for its next challenge.

Sidewalk Moss Clogs Bristles
The brush is narrow (only about 6" wide), tends to clog with sidewalk moss and lacks a handle often included by other similar products. Manufacturer should test their product in real world situations.

Perfect tool for cleaning up my patio pavers.
My patio paver's were disappearing under the dust and dirt that comes with desert living and heavy pool use by kids and dogs. This wire brush is just the tool for getting dirt out from the paver seams and removing caked up salt and dog hair. Solid brush and the bristles seem like they will last for a while.Just the brush I wanted but no carried by the big box stores.
