Amazing
I live in the northeast and winters get very cold. not once did this waterer freeze. we had a cold blast for three straight days of -10f / -30f / -15f and the waterer never froze on me. just the upper part on the lid had some ice, the water and nipples were fine.

Chickens will learn to use nipple drinkers quickly
After going through our first heated drinker and dumping water all over ourselves multiple times, we switched to this drinker. Our small flock figured it out in no time, and have had access to water in temperatures as low as -20 F. I'm going to switch to a nipple drinker in the spring and summer as well now, because they stay clean and we do not waste nearly as much water.

Working great so far!
This will be my hens’ first winter in northern NY and I’ve been concerned about their water freezing. I set this up a couple weeks ago and we’ve had several overnight lows in the 20s despite it being early in the season. Everything seems to be working great so far and my hens had no trouble at all figuring out how to peck at the openings.

Poor quality
Lasted one month in mild winter temps before water started freezing.

Worked nice until water got into element area. Needs seal on bottom cap
Live in Western Ohio and waterer did work well for 2 years even in below 0 weather, but quit working after 2nd year. Pro's = Easy to fill and stays clean with nipples. Chickens learned very quickly how to use it since I use regular non nipple type in warm weather. Con = heating element stopped working. Took apart cover on bottom to see what happened and found that water had gotten into element area which is on bottom of waterer. electrical components had corroded from water being on them. Wasn't repairable. They need to put a seal or silicone bottom cap to keep water out of heating element area. Water and electrical parts don't mix.
