A hit! Perfect for pets AND senior citizens!
I wanted my new cat to be able to see the birds and squirrels on the back deck up close and personal without going outside. She was a rescue and may never have had this opportunity. But the window in the door is quite high and I knew I did NOT want a regular cat "tree" as they weigh a ton and I would not be able to move it aside to get outside myself. Enter these remarkable cubes. My husband had doubts about their sturdiness, but after putting them together easily and adding the cushions, they proved to be just right. My cat weighs about 10 lbs and so far has only had one mishap with them, when she fell through one we'd left "uncut" for her to jump on. Not sure if it was loose before or she hit it just right...just know the center circle caved in. That's when I put the second cushion on and it's fine now - and the ties for the cushion threaded perfectly through slits in the cube and tied it on tight. A little catnip and some treats were needed to overcome her natural suspicion of this new thing, but when she finally got up on it and found herself practically nose to nose with a squirrel on the other side of the glass, she was sold! I highly recommend them for senior citizens who want to give their pets a view to the outside or just a playset but cannot handle the heavy wooden ones. They go together very easily - we did not put on the "bridge" that came with the set to join two cubes, but I can see how that would be fun. IF you have a 25 lb cat (or bunny, if bunnies get that big!) then I'm not sure what would happen if it jumped on a cube from, for instance, something even higher, like a bookshelf. But for an average sized pet I think these are great. We got two sets and have one left which she pokes her nose into now and then. Fun for all! Position it by a window where birds come and you'll never get them off it!

Spoiled Cats Love Them
Our four living-room cats love these Catty Stacks. At first I didn't have much hope for the longevity of the stacks. Our cats like to chew cardboard, wire, etc., etc., and their teeth are like wire-cutters combined with diagonal pliers. Moreover, one kitty is still getting her adult teeth and likes to chew everything. And I figured a few of their wild romps and leaps would crush the cardboard into oblivion, where it could be chewed up even more.Well, I underestimated the industrial strength of these boxes. The cats are all over them, sleeping, playing jack-in-the-box, leaping on and off, and doing a little jaw-exercise where they can. But these cat condos are still pristine!I put some towels in the bottoms of two condos fastened together with the included clips, and then gave them a spritz of catnip spray. The cats loved it, of course, and they spend lots of time there. But no matter how I encourage them, they can't seem to destroy these simple cardboard boxes. The fact there are lots of holes all around makes them irresistable playthings. Paws shoot out to bat and heads pop out to bite anything or anybody who ventures too close. So I and our cats all agree the Catty Stacks deserve a five-star review.

Harley Loves His STACKS!
As soon as I had 1 box assembled, Harley was playing in it. By the time I got both sets I'd ordered completed & stacked up for him he was in Cat Euphoria! He has so much fun going across the bridges, from 1 box to another, in & out, up & down. He's entertained for hours & worn out by the end of the day. He also loves taking his toys in and batting them out the corners of the boxes. it's a hoot to watch. A happy cat, for sure.

Finally a Cat House that Makes Sense
Eureka!Long had I been avoiding purchasing a "cat castle" (GROSS) because of their unstoppable tendency towards being the ugliest things ever built. Seriously. And look, I'm not some aesthetic snob. I find the high design cat trees equally as obnoxious, if only because they share a crucial misunderstanding with their disgustingly upholstered forebears.Cats don't like that stuff. At least mine doesn't. But a cardboard box? You can't stop him. There's something textural about them that he just loves, so yeah, this cat condo makes a helluva lot of sense.I also love the fact that they are modular. Let's me give my cat some vertical space (what with the dog biting his ankles). My one complaint is that there isn't one solid side. I know, I get it I get it, modular blah blah blah, crawl through the endless hole etc. etc. etc. but he's a big old boy! He can't lay comfortably on the top (as he is want to do) without an appendage or two drooping through the hole. I ended up having to cut a bigger piece of cardboard out to throw on top (taking some of their pleasing appearance away).Oh yeah, by the way, they look ok! I'd go for brown, just because, you know, it's subtle, and who wants a fuschia cube in their living room (probably someone, not me).

Foster cats and kittens not impressed
I really wanted to love these cubes with their modern look and great price, but it's been a year and I've cycled through enough foster cats and kittens to write this "eh" review. None of them were that interested in playing in, sitting in, or sitting on the cubes -- even though they've all loved plain cardboard boxes that I cut holes out of. They are made of a nice sturdy cardboard, were easy to assemble with some tape inside to keep them from unfolding. I wasn't thrilled with how the two size options for each hole meant if I left the smaller hole, I could see the cut out for the larger one around it, it looked sloppy. The best luck I had with it was putting a cat bed inside one and covering three of the sides with a towel, one of my older fosters slept there occasionally.

Do Not Buy
It is difficult to assemble and for the price, almost $30, I "thought" from the photo in the ad I was getting four cubes. Wrong, it assembles into two cubes. Frankly, I suggest going to your local super market and ask for old boxes, stack and attach with duck tape,, make holes, you have catty stacks! I am so disappointed. I am not returning as it is not worth the hassle to disassemble and TRY to get it all back into the package. Can't do it!! This is a requirement for returns. PS Office Binder Clips are included to help hold the bridge together. So disappointed.

Fun and sturdy.
Much more sturdy than I imagined. My cats have lots of fun in them. A ball can be rolled along the floor and through the holes in the corners, which my cats really enjoy.

Cool design but they are too light for most cats
Too light for the cats when you stack them high. They needed to be weighted down if you’re gonna build a skyscraper for your kitties.
