Kojie San Skin Brightening Soap - Original Kojic Acid, Dark Spot Remover Bar Soap with Coconut & Tea Tree Oil- 135g x 4 Bars

I’ve used Kojie San soap for a few years now. I initially bought it to lighten dark acne scars on my cheeks. I feel like I am an expert now and know all about this product Bc I’ve used this for years and I have tried other products to remove dark spots with no results. So now I have finally decided to make a good and honest review. If you have any questions please fill free to ask away!Here is how I use this soap to get the BEST results/tips and tricks:This soap melts very easily and lathers up really quickly. So it’s best to cut the soap into long rectangles and preserve them. Use one piece for your face, one for your body etc. do not mix them Bc you will spread bacteria and oils and cause more acne.Also the scent is a lovely bright citrus orange scent. It is not overwhelming and makes you feel super clean!FACE:To use on my face I lather it in my hands and massage the foam on my entire face. However I am careful to avoid the skin under my eyes and the skin around my mouth. This soap tingles your face and will slightly sting if your new to it. You want to avoid sensitive areas Bc this WILL burn you if you allow it to. You may be a little red after washing it off but it’s normal. I leave that foam on my face until it completely DRIES it takes like 3 minutes for it to Bc transparent. Then I reactivate it with a little bit of water massaging it on my face one more time before washing it off with COOL water. Dry your face with a soft towel and GENTLY exfoliate your face with the towel to remove any dead skin cells. This is what removes that dark layer of the acne spot. Depending on your skin type use a moisturizer. I use organic coconut oil even tho I have acne prone skin it works for me and does not break me out more. You can also use unscented argon oil. Over time your spots and acne it will become lighter and lighter and disappear from your face trust me! This doesn’t take very long at the most 5 minutes. Do not leave it on for 10+ minutes Bc it can cause irritation. If you feel it burns too much identify the areas that are more sensitive than others and avoid putting a heavy layer on that area. Also sometimes I would use a topical acne cream over a blemish if it was really bad after washing my face with kojie San however you want to be careful Bc it can burn you Bc your skin is already tender from the tingle of the soap. So be careful and apply very little. I use this method at night before I sleep Bc you might be a little red however if you use this method in the morning please use sunblock no matter what. Bc this helps lighten dark spots it will leave your face fresh and delicate to the suns harmful raise and you will get burned. So use sunscreen generously! Store soap in a dry area and wrap it up to use for next time!BACK:To use on your back the method I’ve been using is similar to my face. Now personally I’ve been breaking out ALOT on my back. It could be from my hormones and from sweating but it has caused me to refrain from wearing backless or strapless clothing. So now I use kojie San on my back. I feel like I’m seeing faster results on my back Bc I break out so much that I notice a big difference. However I do see amazing results on my face too.Now the skin on your back is tougher and thicker than the skin on your face. So I do this topless to avoid getting it on my clothes or wear a strapless bra. I lather the soap up I designated for my back only. (Keeps bars of soap separate for face and body to avoid spreading bacteria) lather it up and apply it all over my back. My shoulder blades are where I get the most acne breakouts. I apply it all over then again let it dry completely, reapply another layer if needed and let it dry again. Touch your back to make sure it’s completely dry and not sticky then I put my shirt back on and go about my day. Yes you will leave this on your back all day or night and wash it off next time you shower. It does not sting or burn your back unless you have really extremely sensitive skin. Once you wash it off scrub your back vigorously and you’ll see that exfoliating your back will scrub off all of the dead skin. You will see how much actually comes off. After you get out of the shower your back may feel dry so you can apply some natural Shea or coco butter unscented if you want. It locks in moisture and helps you not to flake. This really helps your acne on your back. The strong kojic acid in the soap kills bacteria on your back and lightens the dark spots and reduces acne Bc your drying out the break outs.The key the use this soap is CONSISTENCY! If you do not make this a routine you will NOT see results. I use my face routine every other day Bc it can be harsh on my face. However my back routine I use it 2-3 times a week to avoid break outs and also any flaking if you were to use it everyday. I love this soap and constantly buy this to help my acne and dark spots! when i read the reviews the negative reviews bothered me, the dry skin, staining the bathroom, melting fast , pigmentation getting worse.my skin color is a golden tan ...my nature skin at birth was much much lighter , more whitish yellow ...due to my ethnicity i tan easily, and high levels of pigmentation so i have turned a golden tan over the years due to sun exposure. when i get woulnded it leaves a black mark that takes long time to disappear.I had a bad ace attack from a bout 2 years and was left with lots of black marks , i tried a laser therapy that left me with massive patch burns. i wouldn't be more depressed it was much worse than my acne marks. i had nothing to loose i tried this.Drying - yes it is drying , it dried my body a lot but not my face perhaps because i have oily skin. also though some comments say it is drying due to the acid which for some part could be true , this is actually a purely coconut oil based soap. If you know anything about soap making you will know a pure coconut oil soap is the most drying soap , its ability to attach to dirt and really strip the skin is well known in soap making, thats why beauty soaps are made with olive, shea, cocoa butter, almond , oils as such. considering the purpose of this soap , to lighten, ill accept the drying and moisturize more during the period of use , and not have high expectations of a beautiful beauty soap.Staining the bathroom- i didn't experience this , again i'm not doubting at all the other's experience, I'm sure it would have, but i can not say that this is a common issue with this soap. it did not even wash off orange in color , it washed off as any other soap suds, transparent. I'm thinking perhaps its a mater of hard water in the area you live ? I live in hong kong.Dissolving fast - didn't experience this but i have no doubt it would have happened if you leave the soap in moist surfaces or exposed to water splashes. i removed the soap out of the shower soon after use.pigmentation getting worse- didn't happen but again i can see why it could happen .. as some say sun block is paramount ! even indoors,your skin IS exposed to the UV rays even indoors,through windows. although you have direct shield from sun over your head. it is annoying to apply sun block at home during the day but , desperate times folks ! also when your normal skin lightens even more than your pigmented areas that can give the elution of marks getting worse.So the big question , does this soap work ? Absolutely it does. My natural skin color has appeared and during the transition yes the marks and burned areas looked like it was darker because the normal skin lightens much faster , highlighting the dark marks, but soon after they are lighting too....after only 2 weeks of use my scares have not disappeared completely obviously , i even doubt if the burs will ever complete go but i can assure you the acne marks are almost invisible , the burs are so much lighter and blending in to my skin, there is still a dark outline of the original burn but I'm so happy for these results, i use much much less foundation and the unharmed skin is so clear. My objective is not to reach my birth color I'm not concerned about my tanned skin but naturally i have to accept the lightning of the skin to fade the dark marks.few advice i can give - if you have never used any kind of acid in any form before, such as creams , toners , go easy and maybe start the 1st week with every other day usage , it will tingle the skin , it did for me even after using acid creams and toners long before. the tingling is not a bad thing but at the end if it is a 1st time for acid , start slow to be gentle on your skin.do not manually exfoliate during the use of this soap u might really harm your skin as Kocic Acid already exfoliates your skin. moisturize well! dont be afraid of this soap its not a scary application of "acid" on your face ..but it IS an acid so do take is step by step until you get used to it. If you have extremely dry skin then i will suggest to start this in summer because I guess winter already drys so much , but again in summer the sun in stronger ..so please do choose to best suit your comfort your country , and practicality for your daily life like reapplying sun block every 2 hours !!! the most frustrating of all.Good luck all !
