Came with 2028 expiration date on package, feel confident having this with me during river trips
This hemostatic bandage and tourniquet kit seems a bit pricier compared to competitor products but the pack comes with most of what I want for treating a flesh wound out on the river (in a vacuum sealed bag as well which is a plus for portability sake). Additionally the expiration date of 2028 gives me some peace of mind, so that I can throw this in my emergency first aid kit in my car or home and not have to worry about swapping it out for a new sterile kit within a year or two.The components are good enough quality in my opinion, though I haven't had to use the dressings or tourniquet in the field.I'd recommend this kit for hikers, campers, river runners, or for adding to an emergency first aid kit.

No instruction?
This is something you should have in your first-aid kit. It includes everything you need to aid in the management of breeding in a tourniquet situation. BEFORE USING, please ensure that you have been taught and understand how to operate a system like this. There are clearly risks if used wrongly, to the point of losing the limb to which it is attached. There are, however, none. I believe that the absence of instructions devalues the kit. I reviewed the directions with my family and included a written copy with the package after conducting my own research.

3.5 Stars: Covers the Basics, Entry Level, Not Quite as Described
If you don't have a similar kit on hand, this is great to have in a workshop or office. The tourniquet alone is something that I think more people should have in their backpack, car, or home first aid kit. That being said, this is a VERY basic kit that isn't quite as described and I think you could probably piece together individually for less. A quick run through:-The trauma scissors are sharp, but they are also stamped steel and entry level-The tourniquet is just as described and, I think, essential for anyone to have-The permanent marker pictured in the listing is a full sized Sharpie, but a half sized generic was provided-The compressed gauze pictured is a different brand than what is supplied and the supplied gauze has no expiration date noted-The gloves are two sets of two that someone literally took out of a bulk box. There is nothing special about them. They seem a bit thin, but at least they are nitrile (and not latex or vinyl)-The trauma wound bandage looks to be the same one pictured in the listing and is well packaged with an expiration date 6 years outOverall, I don't really have much bad to say about this kit. It is entry level and it's slightly annoying that what is pictured doesn't match what is supplied. I don't spot any glaring problems with the components supplied-- but there is nothing particularly special about them either. For the price, I'd give this around 3 to 3.5 stars. It's convenient that it all comes in one bag, but you can likely piece it together yourself for less.

Great addition to first aid kit, but overpriced for quality
This kit is a great idea and did get me thinking about how I needed to be prepared for blood loss situations. However, this kit is not as pictured and over priced for what it is. The pictures show nice full sized Sharpie marker, but you get a half sized off brand marker. Also the gloves are cheap blue gloves shoved into a plastic bag and don't appear to be sterilized gloves. The scissors are very basic, but do get the job done. If you are in a situation that you are using the tourniquet the amount of gauze in this kit doesn't seem to be like it would be enough. It is a better to have this as an additive to a first aid kit. I do like that it is compact and will fit in my saddle bags for trail riding. Overall I feel like it is very overpriced for the quality included. However if it does save someone's life it will be priceless.

Good to have, but overpriced?
This kit contains the following items: a Tourniquet, a Hemostatic Bandage, Compressed Gauze Dressing, Autoclavable Stainless Steel Trauma Shears, 2 pairs of Gloves, and a Permanent Marker. The marker I received is not sharpie brand is half the size of the one shown. The gloves do not come as pictured either. They are in wadded into plain clear baggies. These aren’t huge deals to me, but just know they will not arrive as shown.Everything is individually packaged and sealed. There are no directions. If you plan on including this in your first aid kit, do yourself a favor and know how to use these items so when the time comes you may have to use them, you’ll be prepared. This kit seems very high priced to me. I feel like you could get these individual items separately for much less, but I am not 100% certain. I don’t often buy these types of items personally.

Overpriced, Not Quite As Advertised
The israeli-style bandage and the tourniquet are as advertised, which is the most important part. The bandage has a nice expiration date range, expiring in May 2028.The scissors are functional and tight, but are very cheap entry level scissors. The Compressed Gauze has no expiration, the gloves are bulk pairs put into plastic bags (not really a problem...) and the sharpie is generic and half length. This is too much to pay. I'd put the value at about $40.

good kit, but a little high in price
I have not used any of the items and I hope that I won't need to use them, but I feel prepared with this first aid bleeding kit.I do think the price is a little high for what is included.

Good gear to upgrade any first aid kit.
- This kit is designed for refilling a trauma first aid kit. Included is a tourniquet, trauma dressing, 2 pairs of blue nitrile gloves, 2 gauze pads, a non-brand mini permanent marker, and scissors.- This gear is great to add to any first aid kit to add a trauma level of support.- The vacuum-sealed gauze has side cut-outs making them easy to open without a knife or scissors.- The shears don’t feel finished or polished. The leading lip of the scissors should be smooth as they will be pressed against the skin. Right now they have a sharp edge that can easily scrape skin, especially in a fast-paced emergency. The above review is for Ever Ready Trauma gear.
