Whitmor White Hanging Shoe File, Clear

Clever me. It looked like what I wanted and the reviews were very good - so I bought two. They look as if they would work just I had hoped but the chemical/plastic smell is overwhelming. I hung one in my closet but had to remove it because the powerful odor filled my whole bedroom and beyond. Hard to believe this can be good for your health. I have put one completely outside and the other hanging in my open balcony door. I hope the smell will be cleared. If not - $$$$$$ lost.

~BACKGROUND~I purchased this purse file as a Christmas gift for my wife. She previously just piled her purses on one of the shelves in our closet and purses were buried and stored misshapen.~PROS~- The horizontal insert "loops" are easy to use.- The clear material makes it easy to see the purses.- The hanger style provides the flexibility to hang it from a hook on the back of a door or from a rod in the closet.- The workmanship appears to be solid. The plastic is malleable and thick.~CONS~- The file can become lopsided, unbalanced if not properly utilized.- Depending on the purses being stored in it, the file can end up being bulky and taking up a lot of closet space.- Ideal for medium sized bags only. Larger ones either do not fit or must be manipulated.~TIPS~- File your purses based on the weight and size. Larger, heavier purses should be lower and lighter smaller purses higher.- File with balance. Make sure you are putting similarly weighted purses adjacent to each other. This makes the file more balanced and reduces the potential for other purses to slip out.~CONCLUSION~Yes, it takes up a it more space in our closet, but the purses are now organized and easy to find.

I have several Coach handbags and the Miche Demi with interchangeable shells. I was looking for something to have my bags visible and protected. This fit the bill for much, much less than the Miche organizer (over $30 bucks + shipping), and it holds 8 purses/shells whereas the name brand product only holds 6.I just received it so I can't comment on durability, but I like it so far. I can see all my handbag options easily and they aren't piled up in my closet floor.The only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the product could stand to be another 3-5 inches wider. Since my handbags are slightly wider than the opening, I simply put the empty ones in upside down so that they don't collect dust inside them. Another user recommended putting your bags in an oversize ziplock before storing them. In any case, I am posting a picture so hopefully you will understand what I mean.

I bought 3 originally then bought 2 more because of how much I love them. They are very strong material and I love how many pairs of shoes they fit. Even super bulky shoes will fit like tennis shoes or small boots. I also like how flip flops and flats can fit a pair in one slot for even more space. I bought a strong clothing rack to hang these on. I'm also impressed how strong it is and won't break. I swear one of these is holding like 50 pounds of shoes and still easily hangs without breaking or tearing. I might Buy even more...lol. Highly recommended.

I bought 2 of these, love love love them, i use them for my purses, umbrella, duffle bags etc, i am able to fit so much into them the vinyl is strong and very well made, lightweight but sturdy and glad i bought them, highly recommend them, it takes up so much less space, the clear vinyl is great for seeing where things are, easy to fit items into, i have so many purses in them as well as 2 large vera bradley duffles, a large vera bradley straw beach purse, a large vera bradley weekender bag, all my dooney and bourke purse collections, umbrella, cosmetic bags, a very large cole haan bag, i cannot say enough i wish i had this item long ago, i can see this being used for sweats, or work out clothing rolled and stacked for a travel hanging organizer, to just roll your clothes and then hang it when you arrive etc.. wonderful wonderful.. love it, did i say i love it enough !!get it you wont be sorry.. sturdy and tons of storage, large purses do fit into these large pockets, i have a large dooney and bourke bucket bag and they are heavy and large.. as well as all of the large vera bradley duffles.. just great

I had high expectations about this purse organizer but am not as happy with it. It is sturdy and durable enough, efficient space use as well, but it's not very comfortable for using it. My purses often slide from all the way through the sleeve and end up off the hanger, on the floor. there are a couple different sizes of sleeves but not enough diversity in height or tightness of slots, so they are either too large for small purses or not large enough for big ones. Better than nothing but not great.

What a huge difference in my closet! I'm not much of a "neatnik" by nature - though I prefer things tidy, if it's not handy to put things away I'm going to end up with a mess. This organizer really works for me - no more reaching to stash my bags out of the way on the top shelf or bending to shove them into a bin. No battling evil dust bunnies to get to the under-bed storage bin. Nothing to zip/unzip, latch/unlatch. I can just pop the bags into their slot, and that's it.I guess that, as other reviewers have mentioned, dust could become an issue, so I wrapped the bags I use less often in a sheet of white tissue paper - it's still easy to see what's what.I don't have enough bags to fill this yet, but I'm working on it. The bags I do have are mostly small to midsize crossbodies (lightweight), so two fit easily in each slot. Lots of shopping to do!I'm actually back to buy another of these for my jeans. I have very little drawer or shelf space, so I was jazzed to discover that each slot holds a folded or rolled pair of my jeans perfectly. No wrinkles, and no rummaging around to find the pair I want. Takes up way less space than using pants hangers, too!

Arrived well packaged and was exactly as described. I bought this with the intention to use for smaller handbags only. For large bags such as backpacks, totes and big handbags they wont fit unless you choose to fold or bend them. It's a lot spacier than I expected and could probably fit two smaller handbags (pochettes) in one holder. Easiest way to store your handbags and save space, great value too.

El artículo cumple con su función sin embargo es para bolsas pequeñas, las bolsas grandes no caben se salen de los lados y se llenan de tierra, el material es sencillo me hubiera gustado tuviera apartados para bolsas grandes y mejor material .

Even after reading all these positive comments on Amazon I was still worried about how much weight it can hold. I've received this product and have been using it for several days. It's wonderful! Truly heavy duty! I use it for storage of jeans, pants and purses. This small rack can endure a lot!!

Compre 3 organizadores por que el precio me pareció súper económico, la verdad tenía un poco de miedo al realizar la compra, pero la verdad es que me sorprendí muchísimo, este organizador tiene las 3 "B", caben todas mis bolsas, por fin ya no estan en una caja aplastadas, lo recomiendo ampliamente!

Excelente producto para organizar mis bolsos, antes era todo un desastre pero no mas!!! Realmente útil es un accesorio imprescindible para cualquier mujes, lo recomiendo ampliamente la unica razon por la que le califico con tres estrellas es porque tardo una eternidad en llegar.
