Klutz Nail Art Activity Kit

Lots of fun designs, 8 year old daughter loves this book

This is a fun book. I always really enjoyed Klutz craft books as a kid. I think the negative reviews on this mostly stem from the poor adhesion of the nail polish. IT IS PEEL AWAY NAIL POLISH. It's not supposed to last very long. This is a plus side if you're learning how to paint something on your nails. If you mess up, you just peel it off and try again. Once you're good enough to get it right the first time (after practicing with the peel away stuff) you can pick up some real nail polish and go at it. The book doesn't lose it's usefulness just because the nail polish doesn't last long. I do think these books are a bit pricey, however.

This was a super cute kit! I got it for my 2yr old daughter because it peels off and is non toxic. The colors are bright and bold. When the paint peels off it adheres to itself and forms a tiny ball, so no chocking hazard. I would buy it for a gift for another little girl. The only down side was that I the paint gets kind of clumpy in the bottle since it dries fast, but you also want to to dry fast on the nails, it’s a give take situation. Also, I believe that the colors were not the exact colors that they use in the examples. I might have had more fun than my little girl, but she loved the rainbow paint on her nails 🌈💅

Granddaughter loved it

The thing I like best about the kit is the book of nail art ideas and tips on decorating, my 3 year old daughter loves having designs on her fingers and toes. The supplies themselves leave a lot to be desired. I don't think the kit offers enough colors, and the quality of the paint is poor... or at least poor for my busy girl. After I spend an hour attempting to paint a fish on her miniature fingernails, I would like it to last past bath time in the evening. The polish either peels right off, or chips off and is almost completely gone by the end of the day. I have replicated some of the nail art with my own nail polish and had much better results in longevity. I also wish the kit came with more than one nail art brush. I also have newborn twins and my time to work on my daughter's nails is limited (not that I ever wish to spend more than an hour on nails regardless). Having to constantly stop and clean the one decorating brush is a bit of a hassle.

My daughter who is autistic had finally agreed to nail polish. She is 16 and this is a big deal. So, this was just right for her. The book with the different nail styles was perfect for her to express what she liked by pointing. The nail polish alone was just perfect for her. I was very pleased with the colors and quality. No complaints from this mom!

She is having so much fun with nail art! It brings out her creative side and it shows her just how to create all the exciting designs she loves. We are all getting our nails done all the time, its great!!!

My daughter (9) loves painting her nails and this has been a lot of fun for her. The polish peels off within hours, but it is initially water soluble which makes the polishes a good starting place in learning to trust her with real polishes later. We've had a few tipped bottles to clean up and a wet rag does the trick so long as it is taken care of immediately. It has cute ideas in the book to give my daughter inspiration.
