Sturdy and looks great
I needed a third stool for my kitchen island for when I have company, and Walmart discontinued the one that I had bought before, so I couldn't get another one to match the others. I searched high and low for one that was at least similar. I finally came across this one, and it is very close to the other 2. I was thrilled. It looks great, and is the perfect height for my island. It's very sturdy, and it conveniently folds up and slides in between my counter and china cabinet when I don't need it. It's comfortable and I'm happy I bought it. I thought it was a bit pricy, but it is a quality stool.

More sturdy than expected but I wish feet were less slippery
I got this for an 80something year old man who is quite unforgiving when people try to do a nice thing for him and buy him something he's asked for. If it's not to his majesty's liking, he will quite rudely let you know that he hates it and follows it up with "I just wanted an XXXXX, can't you just find it in a store?"Because of that, when he asked me to get him a couple of stools so he can sit in the kitchen and do more things on his own and be more independent, I was both glad that he wanted to do more for himself, but also quite scared that I'd get something for him that was unsafe and he'd hate it. I was looking at several places- Target supposedly has something similar but none were in stock and as much as I love the old guy, I wasn't going to drop more than a hundred bucks on a stool at a fancy furniture store so I saw this and took a gamble and bought it.It turns out that it's very stable. I gave it a try myself and felt very comfortable on it and the cushion is nice too. The only thing I don't like is that the feet have a hard rubber on them so they tend to slip on a wood or tile floor. I wish it was more sticky. Still, this is a nice stool at a good price.*edit*This was such a big hit that I ordered another one for another 80 year old!

JUNK
Used this one as a SASS stool for moving from stage to stage to sit and be a miss counter or just enjoy watching the metal on metal action. It was wobbly and it bent the first time out. JUNK! ONE STAR! I found another one that was "similar looking" with this title"Plastic Development Group ST01 Extremely Portable Lightweight Easy to Clean Steel Frame Black Folding Vinyl Seat Padded Bar Stool"I have used this one for over two years, I hang it on my gun cart and it travels and folds open and closed easily and it has been quite durable. For the intended use it has been a great portable stool. SO, don't buy the one I'm reviewing! But the one named in the text.

Great stool, but not for guitarists
It's a good stool, lightweight, sturdy, and not terribly difficult to fold, but I bought it for my music practice space and it didn't quite fit the bill. The seat is comfortable, even with the minimal padding, but the cross bars aren't quite high enough to prop up the leg that my guitars and basses rest on.If you're looking for inexpensive, stowable extra seating, then this is the stool for you. I'd sit on it for drinking beer and having conversations without any complaints, but as a daily working guitar stool it doesn't work very well. In all fairness, it wasn't designed for my purpose, so I can't really give it a bad rating. Guitarists should avoid purchasing, though, and spend the extra money for a folding stool designed for that purpose. It would be perfectly fine if used with a guitar strap, but I'm not that guy.

Product arrived damaged first time
The media could not be loaded. Upon receipt and unpacking, when the chair was placed in the open and locked position, it was very wobbly. The chair has a spring-loaded detent that ensures the foldable chair is fully opened and locked into position so it isn't a case of user error. I took several pictures and videos. Unfortunately, I can only attach one video. Additional videos would depict the wobbly chair placed in several different areas of the floor. They reflect that no matter how the chair is oriented, one leg is about a 1/2" shorter than the others. The home is a new, single story home on a concrete slab. The floors are hardwood or tile. It is not the floors. Other chairs we own do not wobble. The frame must have become twisted to achieve such a result. I would suggest to the seller that the item should have some packing material included to protect it in the oversized box where the item is free to jostle around. I may revise this review if the replacement chair arrives undamaged/undefective. Very disappointed. Update. I received a replacement chair today. What a difference. I changed my overall rating to 5 stars. The replacement chair arrived relatively quickly and was provided with air packs to protect it from rattling around in the oversized box it arrives within. The 2nd surprise was how easily the 2nd chair folds and unfolds as compared to the 1st chair which was very stiff and difficult to open and close. And lastly, this chair sits evenly on the floor. No wobble. I hope the seller learned from the experience. As always, kudos to Amazon for resolving the issue.
