Q: Does this come with the side tray?

Yes the NGT one comes with a tray. I personally don't use the tray, but utilizes the slots it attaches to. The canvas cover will drop like the perverbial drawers as soon as the seat cover is unclipped and the box lifted. I have also added 'stays' to both hinged lids to avoid the whole thing toppling over when opened. I have 3 of these and have modded each one. Great boxes for the price. I tried to add a video to explain better, but it seems to fail uploading. Let me know if you need a copy. HTH
