Saddlemen Step-Up LS Seat Black (807-11-172)

Amazing craftsmanship. It makes the 2020 Iron 1200 look so good. It does sit me about an inch further back And a little bit higher than the stock Iron 1200 seat. It is kind of stiff. I'm 5'8" 163lbs but I've rode a 2.5 hour trip and it didn't break my back or anything. I've heard that they don't "break in" and soften up til about 1000 miles. But honestly, I didn't buy it for a long trip touring seat anyway. I bought it for the looks and the style. The last picture is my stock seat so everyone knows what seat I was comparing to.

Awesome craftsmanship. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. The stock seat was not so great when you are doing 70 to 80 mph. I felt like the bike is wants to throw me off. Since I installed this Saddlemen Step Up, I feel much more secure when I am squeezing the throttle of my 2017 HD Iron 883.

Ok so let me start off by saying I got this seat for my 2022 iron 883. It’s a great seat and looks really great. And yes it is stiff. It’s normal I’ve had 3 motorcycles and I’ve gone through different seats and they are all stiff at first. Second, you really don’t need an extended bolt, the rubber spacer isn’t needed unless you change your seat constantly and are afraid of scratching your paint.

Perfect fit on a 2019 XL1200NS. Got it two days before it said it would be delivered. Height was about the same as oem, more narrow so it might feel lower at first. Back support is nice. Best part about getting new parts is always the stickers!

After being unable to find honest reviews that mention rider height and weight plus mentioning using forward or mid controls, I caved in and bought a Lepera Daytona Sport Daddy long legs..Not good for me, at 6ft and 165lbs it caused me to slide forward into the tank with every bump in the pavement.I knew I should have bought this one first.Summary, I love it !!The bike is 2018 with mid controls and 12 inch tbars and this seat locks me in place at EVERY speed.Get one, you won't regret it.

Saddlemen Seat Cover is a terrible company. They took over 5 weeks to delivery the car seats, they sent the front seat with a small hole and refused the return. The material is terrible, nothing compared to saddle blanket material. The person named Patric is the only one running this show and very unprofessional after they take your money. He denied sending information for return. Never buy agai!
