Quite probably the best 8 dollar folding knife on the market.
The media could not be loaded. Quite possibly the best sub $10 knife on the market lightweight Built Well solid in hand with a great tough zytel polymer handle/frame a nice thin 4.25 inch blade that comes down to around 17thoudanth of an inch behind the edge so it will slice very nicely. I wish they still made these in 4116 still rather than the 5cr that they are today but believe it or not the heat treat on these knives is done pretty good and they run them around 59 Rockwell so the edge retention is going to be pretty decent definitely not great but decent. The backspring is Stout and makes for a safe knife so long as you treat it as a non-locking knife that it is there is no reason you should ever fold this knife unintentionally the back spring is plenty strong. For $8 shipped you have a very nice slicing knife that is 4 1/4 in of cutting edge has no blade play side to side it's just a rock solid knife but also very very lightweight. It's comfortable in hand and believe it or not it is ready to do some pretty serious work if you need a good slicing work knife that has good cutting geometry and it's going to pass through materials with little effort this knife is for you if you don't want to spend much money. I love that it has a half stop which makes closing at like a traditional knife more fun to do and if you're closing at single-handed that half stop makes it a little safer. For $8 you really can't find better these knives sharpened very nicely take a ridiculous Edge my advice is don't take it to too high of a grit somewhere in the 320 to 600 range is ideal so it's got plenty of aggression because this still has no carbide volume and rather small grain so you need a little bit of tooth from the scratch pattern of the Stone to make these not get slick and glassy you want that Edge aggression so my advice is 320 Grit being the perfect finish or if you want a little finer than that 600 but at the max remember it's a very simple stainless composition so to get performance out of it a lot of that has to do with the quality of edge you put and to get performance it needs bite from the scratch pattern being there's no carbide volume in the steel to create that bite. Overall a really cool replica traditional knife with a rich culture behind it just a cool little knife. It's also a very serviceable knife that will perform very well for you for $8 as far as I'm concerned and I'm very deep in the knife community you can't spend $8 and get a better knife that will perform better for you then this knife at least that I've not ever seen. Well cold still has that mall Ninja type look and feel due to good old Mr Thompson and how he showed his company off in the videos that they did and in the Crusty Mall ninja shops that you would find Cold Steel that doesn't change the fact that cold still makes them dang good knives at excellent prices. One of the best EDC designs of all time is the American Lawman you can get that knife and s35vn that is well done and made in Taiwan for around 90 bucks you can't touch that much life anywhere else for that kind of money. So yes they do have that mall ninja Vibe as the brand but they do make a great product and they price it fairly and that's why I very much appreciate and respect Cold Steel even though Lynn Thomas isn't at the helm anymore. I have a lot of pre GSM Lynn Thomas era cold steels and they're all excellent knives and I have quite a few posts Lynn Thompson selling the company to GSM knives and they're just as good so as far as I've seen the quality hasn't fell off in any way since Lynn Thompson sold the company and I'm very happy to say that. If anything the quality still the same the pricing is still excellent and that mall ninja Vibe still fully exist within the brand it really hasn't changed very much and Lynn Thompson still definitely has his hand in Cold Steel he may not be running it but he definitely has his hands in it. I've met Lynn Thompson very many times over the years I would call him a friend actually since I have his cell phone number and he has mine and we talked fairly regularly I think he's a great guy I've supported him for the past 25 years and sold a great many knives for him so while I do wish Lynn was still at the home of the company and it's ownership stayed here in the USA I know he still has his hands in the company to some extent and I believe that's why the quality hasn't changed. Get you a kudu lite it's better than the ring lock version in my opinion, while the ring lock is cool if you are only gonna get one get the lite version as it's the better knife overall imo... Or just get both of them considering that will be less than 20 bucks to your door.

Good for the price - so far.
I bought this knife out of curiosity because it was so cheap. It's a lot better than expected and might actually be useful for fishing and camping. It feels somewhat flimsy in the hand, however, the blade is stable in the handle when extended. The metal also looks somewhat cheap, but it's easy to sharpen and might be pretty good for my purposes. The one thing I really dislike is the locking mechanism which makes it hard to open and dangerous to close. But what do you expect for this price?

Great working knife
Good steel, great grip and well designed ergonomically. Blade holds edge well and is durable. Price is laughable for a knife this good. I own 4 of these.

Best knife for the money
They are selling this knife for less than its worth for sure, ive seen 30 buck knives that are lesser, the fitting is amazing and the blade comes hair shaving sharp (not as good as a razor blade but it was still able to shave my arm hair with a couple passes) this makes a great beater knife that you dont really need to care about and is just a steel for this price, a "Cold Steel" if you will, im sorry but i needed to make that pun, for its price freaking 10 outa 10
