I would say its a little overpriced but it solves a problem and that's worth some money. Easy to install inline with the fuel supply to the car and quick wiring if you have an ignition switched source handy. The configuration is a little awkward to mount in the place I had it but that might just be my application.

This is a nice HD low pressure pump for using with small carburetors. The fittings seem to have an NPTF thread and seal tightly. The pump is heavy. I will try to measure current consumption at pressure sometime and amend this review. That is the one specification that was not listed anywhere when I purchased it.

Worked for about 1 month, then it quit. This is on a high vibration Dirt bike. Took it apart to figure out why- no idea why it stopped. The IC board on the bottom of the pump shows no signs of overheating. Just replaced it with a BraveX and will see what happens. I've used Empi pumps before- 1st time i had one fail.

Exactly what I needed

I put this pump on my 51 Ford 239 Flathead motor. I placed it at the rear of the car (pushing fuel instead of pulling it) with a large pre filter. it was absolutely perfect for 3000 miles. (around 6 months). Then it began leaking internally out from its sides. there is no tightening or repair for this. I was forced to replace it after such a small amount of use.I would suggest paying more for a higher quality pump.
