I purchased a pair of these shocks in connection with rebuilding the air system and suspension system of my 200,000 mile 2007 GL 450. Product was the cheapest part I could locate. When they arrived, they appeared and tested out to be good parts. Installed them in the rear of my GL-450 and it worked as expected with no noticeable issue. They perform as expected. It is possible the other reviewer got a bad part or his parts were incompetently installed. If the parts appear bad, return them and get new ones. You can't beat the price. I used this company's front air struts and had no issue in connection with this rebuild as well.

I just got these professionally installed on my 2010 gl450. I have not heard any weird noises and the suspension feels great. Installation should be done on a Lift by a mechanic as the bottom bolt is super tight and the top bolts are in a very difficult position to get to. I suspect noises heard in other reviews are of the top bolts not properly torqued. They have a 1 year warranty so we shall see how they do long term. My suggestion is to inspect them periodically, If you see the strut covered in oil that’s definitely one that has failed no matter which brand.

The media could not be loaded.  Awful, just awful shocks. One went bad in the first month and makes an annoying *thud* or rattling type sound as I drive over anything rough or bumpy on the road. They both now provide little to no shock support and the rear end of my 2008 Mercedes GL450 is loose around every turn as a result.I'm trying to work with customer service, but so far I've just been asked to provide them with a recording of the sound (video attached). I should have paid attention to the reviews or yanked them both out as soon as the noise started and worked on a refund then. I'm guessing I am out of luck at this point and won't get any money back, but hopefully, I can spare others the same fate.I do NOT recommend buying this product. Pelican Parts seems to have the best deal on Mercedes genuine parts for this shock absorber.

I purchased 2 of these for my mercedes GL450. Both failed within 6 months resulting in the rear bags being destroyed and the pump failing from trying to over pump to compensate for the leaking shocks and destroying the rear bags, I just got done paying mercedes over 4k to fix it all. Avoid these pathetic.

Started to make noise after 8 months. Several trips to the automotive shop and replaced other bushings just to find out it was a defective shock. Now it is out of warranty by a month.

Replaced GL450 shocks and these worked for 1 week with no issues. Shortly after thuds and rtattles from the shocks on any surface. Cheap is the operative word

I purchased this item few months ago, after installation my SUV started making clicking noise after careful review by my mechanic found out the shocks are making that noise. Got the items replaced by DEDC, installed it again and found out they have the same issue. The product is not good makes noise and doesn't keep the vehicle stable. Avoid this product in all circumstances.
