A useful addition to a good helmet
I bought this curtain for my IS-MAX BT helmet. The descriptions vary, but Symax and IS-MAX lines take many of the same accessories. The curtain looks nothing like the picture that is in all the online ads. It's much smaller and is half black and half gray in color. It attaches by snapping into small slots in the chinbar. The bar can be opened with the curtain in place. There is an indentation for the latch and the back part of the curtain folds a little when the bar is up.The curtain cuts a lots of the wind coming in under the bar. This makes the helmet significantly quieter and a bit warmer. However, there isn't too much negative impact on warm days if you leave the shield open a crack. The only downside to the curtain is that it does not cover more area and leaves a couple of small holes in the corners. This, however, might be more related to how my head is shaped. In general, I would say that anyone who uses an IS-Max helmet would find this a good accessory to have.

OK, but not as good as some
The curtain is not bad at sheltering a little of the cooler wind up under your chin but I found it very annoying. I was not able to take on and off the helmet without removing the chin curtain. Hell I couldn't even open the helmet (SymaxII is modular) without it catching on my chin and unclipping itself. I dont have a Dudley Do-right chin either. I have a chin curtain on my Scorpion full face helmet Scorpion EXO-700 Black Dahlia Matte Black Large Street Helmet Scorpion Aero Skirt EXO-700 Street Bike Motorcycle Helmet Accessories - Color: Black, Size: One Size that works very well. It been on permenantly for over a year now. It doesn't interfere with my chin when pulling on and off the helmet but still does a very good job at reducing the wind getting into the helmet and reduces noise for my chatterbox. Bottom line is that this HJC curtain is annoying enough that I wont use it except for long trips where it'll be several hours between stops.

Not as pictured
HJC offered two breathbox/chin curtain combos for the IS-Max (not sure about symax). The first one was finicky but worked very well with a little extra adjustment every time you put it on. However the chin curtain did occasionally pop out and after i lost and could not replace it, i ordered the newer type. That was complete junk. The foam seal fell off the breathbox within hours of first use, it didn't deploy consistantly when the chin bar was lowered, and the neck curtain would not remain in it's slots at all. Every trip i tried with it would end up with it flapping around by the velcro. I ordered this one here because the picture showed something different and i took the chance it might be the old model or something else. Nope, just the crappy new curtain with a completely wrong picture.

Good chin curtail
This is a good product but I have to say you need to add a touch of super glue when putting it in because it will pop out when trying to put your helmet on. would buy again but remember to get a bottle of glue to make it secure.

Not bad
Pros, cheap, reduced wind noise, warmer ride,Cons, cheaply made, poor fitmentIf you plan to use often order 2 or 3, they will break or get messed up so it doesn't stay on properly

Loose fit
I bought this and the breath box for the helmet. Didn't quite stay on and work as well as I expected it too.
N**!
Works OK if careful when opening.
Fits OK, falls out if I forget to "steer" it around my chin when opening the lower part of the helmet.

Not like the picture, just a plastic frame with a mesh screen on it.
It snaps in the helmet so it is easy to install and use, but it is just a mesh without any padding. So not really a curtain per se. Price was good at below $7, but in reality I am not sure if it is really even worth bothering with on a modular helmet, does not really 'seal up' the helmet.
