This Umbrella seems very sturdy in the three operational mechanisms, but currently can't use it yet as the weighted base pieces haven't arrived. Absolutely necessary if you can't bolt it to the ground as even with a solid wide cross base, fully opened it tilts over even without wind. Given the way it overhangs though, this is to be expected and I fully expected to need the weights. I expect to up this to five stars once those arrive.UpdateAs expected once the weights arrived and were put in place it became very stable and is the perfect coverage for our sitting area in our deck.Upgraded to five stars, but weighted base or other means of securing is mandatory.

I've been wanting a little more shade for our deck and swimming pool and got looking into çantilevers. I chose the wiki wiki çantilever because of more positive reviews. I grabbed a returned one at a discount the last one available on Amazon. I set it up and everything turned out great! I purchased 4 large 20"pavers for the base and that worked great. You will need to anchor it down somehow. I didn't want to take the umbrella down every night so I bought a cover for it. I just crank it in put the cover on, and bungy cord the bottom around it. Now how to get it on and off? I'm almost 6ft tall and I couldn't reach the cover to remove and put it on. So I got an extension pole and lift the cover on and off rather than getting a ladder out. With a little practice it worked perfectly! All in all we love the additional shade and this çantilever is made of good materials should last awhile. We can rotate it around to shade the pool or the deck or both! I recommend at least cranking it in when not in use, covering it at night, or when windy or stormy. I'd buy it all over again if I had too.

The cantilevered umbrella looks nice, easy to install and open. Got the dark blue canvas, which looks great and provides good shade. Not sure how much it will fade over time though. The rotating feature allows me to easily move the coverage with the sun’s position without moving the whole setup.The 10ft size is quite large and requires additional base weights to stabilize.Like others, I had could not fit my base weight under the pedal.I read the review with the additional washers and bolts, but preferred not to modify the original hardware setup.So instead I got it to fit by using a hair dryer to heat up the plastic base weight and used a vice to gently squeeze the plastic neck. Was able to get enough clearance without any damaging. Now it’s a perfect fit.Note, this may not work for everyone and you do so at your own risk.

So far we’re very happy with this umbrella! It’s very big! Our patio is small so the canopy covers the entire area which is great. Love the navy blue color but wish more colors were offered. Setup was easy and directions were clear. Probably took about an hour from opening the box, making sure all items were delivered, setup, and finishing with filling the bases (bought separately).Opening and closing is a piece of cake. I thought there would be some weight to lifting the umbrella into place but there’s not. Crank makes it easy to open and close too. We love the different tilting options to block the sun. The pedal to move the canopy 360 degrees is the best feature so you don’t constantly have to move the base around.Weights (bases) filled with sand are definitely needed to make the umbrella secure. Unless you’re screwing the cross base into your deck, the weights are needed in order to use. We read some reviews about bases not fitting because of the pedal but we found some off Facebook (probably originally ordered from amazon) that work perfectly! Wish I knew the brand as they do not say.Has held up in a few storms we’ve had already too. We’ve only had for a week but so far a great purchase for price besides bases and a cover not being included.

We bought this to cover an open-air poolside changing room that is too small to allow for raising an umbrella inside it. We parked this new umbrella outside the changing room, where we have clearance to raise it and then spin it to shade the changing room. So happy we decided on this over several options we were considering.The fabric is very nice. It seems reasonably sturdy in breezy weather, with moderate gusting. It might hold up in windy conditions or strong gusts, but we will not be testing that.We purchased the Best Choice Products 4-Piece Heavy-Duty Cantilever Offset Patio Umbrella Stand Square Base Plate Set w/Easy-Fill Spouts for Water or Sand from Amazon, as well. We had no problems using this with the WikiWiki umbrella - required no special installation hardware or steps. Just be sure to push the weights all the way together in toward the umbrella post for proper placement. The metal connector hooks went in easily.The canopy did arrive with a pinky-size hole in it. Customer service responded quickly to our email, agreeing to send a replacement and noting that we could still request the free additional canopy via text. I feel confident we will receive the replacement promised, but will update this review if we do not. UPDATE: replacement canopy received very quickly.
