I purchased this kit for the home. So many times we have needed these tools to help with a mishap with the grandchildren. My wife and I are medical professionals and this has saved a trip to the ER several times already. Metal and very durable.

Look for a better quality set if you are using this for clinicals or to see actual patients. The fittings are loose and the heads of the otoscope and ophthalmoscope will fall off. The ophthalmoscope light is way too bright so patients will complain. You also can't accurately adjust to decrease blurriness so finishing and acquiring an accurate exam are almost impossible. To top it off, it's nonreturnable once opened. This was a waste of money.

Purchased this for an advanced health assessment course. Arrived in good condition and initially seemed like it would be exactly what I needed. Upon second use, the otoscope head broke when removing from the base. There are small springs and pins inside that are not easy to put back into place. Then the bulb stopped working and none of the replacements worked. The parts do not fit well together overall. This product is not eligible for returns/refunds though Amazon, so I reached out to the company directly to ask for guidance. I was told they would send a replacement. This did not happen. The company has not responded to my follow up email. Unfortunately, this kit was a waste of money and the customer service was not helpful - look for a different product that either allows returns/refunds or is from a reputable company. I purchased a different kit in the meantime that has fewer items but was around the same price point.Update as of 6/15/2024 - the company reached out and resolved this :)
