Truly an amazing Kitchen tool
I've had this for about a year. And, I have to say... It took me a bit to understand it. After all, I'm a boomer. Tech, was never a thing in my life. But, once I figured it out. This Pressure Cooker/slow cooker is AMAZING! I love it. They have hundreds of recipes and cook times in the cooker! And, it's simple to program my own recipes. Ya, it's a bit on the expensive side. Considering others in the market. But, none of them come close in Quality and, multi use. I truly like this Product. I think, you will, too.

Next best thing to having a pro chef tell you how to cook.
I actually love this thing, but understand it's mostly a pressure cooker, slow cooker and rice cooker. They say they have 100s of recipes on line, but they have more like dozens. Lots are stews, soups, and other mushy foods. Also the "one pot" cooking feature is a bit gimmicky as you have a small space to sear, cook veggies, season things. But it is fun to follow the screen instructions and you basically get what they show on the website. Is it faster than the similar individual styles of cooking, no. A regular pressure cooker will do the same. Same for slow and rice cooker. Is the hands off automation of the cooking process good, yes it is. Set it, forget it and monitor it from your phone app.I recommend if you can get it for a reasonable price.

This is like having a personal chef!!!
I've been cooking dinner for more than 50 years. I'm at the age where I don't like to try new recipes because it's too much mental strain on me to find a recipe, read through it, then follow it step by step. I never thought I'd say this, but it's too much work mentally, and it's too much physical strain to stand at a stove, so I stick to simple cooking at my age. Then I needed a new pressure cooker, came to Amazon to find one and came across this gem. It looked easy enough for me to understand, it was digital, and the reviews were great, so I took a chance and paid twice the amount I would have paid for a regular stove top pressure cooker pan that only is used to pressure cook.I'm glad I took the chance!!!This Chef iQ is like having your own personal chef standing next to you telling you step by step how to make amazing meals! It has made cooking fun and easy again! The app has many different recipes, including beef and barley soup which I have been wanting to make for years but have no desire to stand at a stove cooking...now I can have my Chef iQ tell me step by step what to add, and the best part is thr scale. It weighs the amount of water you put in, it weighs the meat (no more digging through the garbage to see if it was 2 pounds roast or a 3 pound roast) it weighs it for you!A dinner that would have taken me hours, and dirtied many dishes and pans, is now made in one pot and it does everything for you!It took 30 minutes to pressure cook 5 pounds of roast. When it was done I pulled it apart some of them and added some BBQ sauce and we had pulled beef sandwiches, then saved the rest for dinner, again using the insta pot to steam veggies to add to the beef to make a stew. It took less than an hour to make 2 meals!Washing the unit is simple, just make sure you remove the gasket ring and wash under it, then replace it.This unit has made 2 elderly people become instant chefs! My husband can't stand for long and for years had to give up making his famous rice and beans. I came back from walking the dog to find a plate of freshly made rice and beans waiting for me, and a husband with a smile so big because he was able to cook again! This pot gave us more than easy and amazing meals, it gave us back the pride and confidence that we can once again make difficult recipes that used to require standing at the stove all day and using and washing many pans, it's given us more time together and has truly made life easier for both of us!I highly recommend this product for everyone! It would have been amazing to have this unit when I was in college, to be able to cook full meals in one pot without knowing how to cook would have been so great as a college student living in a dorm! This makes a great wedding gift, housewarming gift, college student gift, and just a great gift for everyone you love and want to make their life easier!

Awesome pressure cooker
I love this pressure cooker! I have made numerous dishes using the chef IQ app. The unit connects easily to your phone or tablet so you can monitor your cook. The color display is readable and easy to navigate one of the best features is the built-in scale, I found it extremely useful when cooking rice You just choose the rice option on the menu. Add your rice. The unit will automatically calculate how much water to add based on the weight and then push start. it is that simple.

Never again from Chef IQ
The media could not be loaded. I received my new Chef IQ Smart Cooker today. I proceeded to set it up. The app worked fine, I had no problems with that. In the box there was a large rubber ring that appears to fit on the inner pot but when I put it on there it caused the lid to not fit. I have no idea where this goes, if it is necessary or if it is only for certain types of cooking because there was no manual with the item. I found the manual online but it is very vague as to what this ring is for or how/where to install it. I tried to contact support but they do not have a phone number or email on their website, all they have is a totally ridiculous chat feature that asks questions that require you to have the item in front of you to answer which is very difficult to do when the item is in the kitchen and my PC is in my office. I brought it to the office and got the information, entered it and then they asked for a picture of my receipt, like what do they need that for? Then I had to upload a video of the issue. In the end all that does is send an email to someone somewhere on the planet but who knows where. I am not disappointed with the product as I have not had an opportunity to use it yet since I have no ideas where that ring goes and I do not want to try to cook if it is required for safety reasons. I will await their response but I will never purchase another items from Chef IQ and I will probably return this one in the next couple days depending on how long it takes to get a response and what that response is.So I received an email from the company saying it will take 3-5 business days to get a response from technical support. Then this morning the cooker says to make sure the rubber gasket is in place but I still have no idea where it should be. This is the absolute worse support, or lack thereof, I have experienced in years. Either they are a one man shop or they have so many complaints coming in that it takes up to five business days to get a response from them.
