Great for home highlights on med brown, long hair
I liked this so much that I bought another one two weeks later. I successfully changed my cool toned brown hair into a vibrant, summer streaked blonde. Instructions were very easy and I prepped my hair for about a week prior to using it. I am NOT a hairdresser so I tried to take every precaution - a few hair masks and lots of conditioning. I mixed the product, placed the bag nice and tight on my head, and proceeded to take very thin amounts of hair around my face. I let it sit for a full 60 minutes (light yellow-do not be fooled by the dried bleach because it looks lighter than it is until you rinse), and then followed the instructions on how to rinse and condition. The result is honey colored, sun-kissed highlights. I love it! As I stated, I did get another box and repeated the process so that I could lighten more. It is now 4 weeks post and my hair is a little dryer, as expected , but I bought some extra conditioner (Aveda) and so far, I am thrilled. I will definitely use this again. Oh, and I saved about $250. Win win.

Easy to use
The color of this product is beautiful. I have dark brown hair and this gives me perfect blonde highlights. The longer you leave it on the lighter the hair gets. I always leave it on for the max time. Super easy to use, my husband does my hair for me. Make sure u pull the strands all the way through the cap so your hair doesn't look blotchy. The quality of this product is better than any I've ever used. I use to buy this in store but now you can only get it online from Amazon! The texture isn't gritty and its easier to mix than you may think. Will always buy this brand and product. Make sure to follow the directions on the box and you will habe no problem. Just remember to allow yourself up to 2 hours. This is from start to finish. It does take time to get the hair pulled through the cap. I use every other hoke. Covers gray too which is a major plus for me!

It worked.
It went from super dark-brown to as shown in the picture. I've shouldn't have made so many highlights. This was my first time using it. After 30 minutes my hair was super hot so I stopped the process and didn't let it go for a few minutes more like I was supposed to. It takes lots of time, especially if you have long hair. But it worked. How much that would have cost me in a salon???

Happy with decent result
First time to try DIY highlighting at home. Decent results because I wasn’t too picky. I was ready to run to my neighborhood salon if it ended up worse than this. This is acceptable result though there is no way I could have done this by myself. Had to rope the hubby to pull the hair for me because I wouldn’t be able to see which holes to poke and pull from esp towards the back of scalp. Took 2hrs for everything. Had to just poke all the holes in the cap before putting it on because it was a challenge to poke thru 2 pcs of plastic while trying not to hurt my scalp. This was every other round holes on the cap guide. Other cons: since I have thick but fine hair, it looks like I split/broke/pulled a lot of hair. So much hair fall when I showered. Also hair did not feel conditioned or smooth (in fact it felt very dry and brittle) even after that toner rinse. Unlike when you use conditioner in other color dye kits, it did not feel hydrated, soft, conditioned at all. Will probably buy another silicon highlighting cap next time.

great product professional Results
great product professional ResultsI have very long hair, down to my waist and I am 5'8''. I used to go to the salon and pay $300+ for highlights before a cut. After the second time of two different salons messing up my hair, I turned to this after It was recommend to me. Believe it or not, it looks better then the salon. Always great results the cap ensures that you can't mess it up. Be sure to comb you hair to the part where it falls naturally before putting the cap on. Also comb through all tangels before. I never use up all of the product, and my hair is very long. Make sure you wear the gloves and wear just a bra or old teeshirt. IT WILL BLEACH A GOOD SHIRT OR TOWEL! (I learned that one the hard way)I pull more hairs on the part and though out all the way to the middle back of my head the bottom of my hair stays my "natural" color and my top has golden caramel to blonde high lights through out. I do this my self with a few mirrors. I use the smaller metal pull for more natural look the other one will give you a "chunky look." I have people ask me who my stylist is. My natural color is a ash brown. Watch the color as you process it not to over process. And when you re color DO NOT re highlight the tips that are already blonde, or you can fry your hair. Just do the roots. The avoid pain when removing the cap get into the shower rinse dye out. Then take a hand full of your own good conditioner ( I use Redkin so-soft) While the conditioner is still in slowly wiggle off the cap. once off shampoo and condition hair again. Then I put the toner in once hair is combed and out of the shower. Then Style your way.I have been coloring my hair with this product every 3 months. Over all the money I have saved through out the years. Probably close to $1,200 a year!! My natural color is ash brown, to. I have been coloring my hair with this product every 3 months for the last 10 years with this product.
