Christina's World, 1948 Art Print by Andrew Wyeth 14 x 11in

I was told the story behind Christine’s World and didn’t realize she couldn’t walk. I work at a retirement home and many can’t walk, just like Christine.

Beautifully written and you will never look at Christina's World the same way again. The interpretations of the painting come late after we learn about Christina and how she not only survived but did all the housework in spite of her neurological disorder (she couldn't walk ultimately) and the tragedy in her life. Andy Wyeth married her best friend, loved the house, drew Al, Christina's brother, and then finally asked to paint Christina. The author did thorough research blending it seamlessly into the narrative. If possible, you appreciate the painting even more. I had to buy a print to see it in front of me, see Christina's strength.

I received my first Andrew Wyeth print in 1976. I love his work. I decided to buy this print not knowing how it would measure up. I purchased a rustic hardwood 11 x 16 frame that was matted for an 8x10 print. Although not an exact fit it worked how perfectly for the area I hung it.

Quality is very good

It says the print is 11x14, but the image is actually about 8x11 on a 11x14 piece of paper. The print quality is OK, but the paper is low quality.

The image is actually 8 1/4" x 12". NOT 11"x14" as identified.

I was purchasing this poster for my daughter for Christmas she was named after this painting. We have been to the Olson House where this portrait had been painted in Maine. I was very disappointed when I received the poster on the 11 x 14 size I ordered the picture on it is only an 8 x 10 . This was very deceiving and disappointing.😡😡😡
