Q: Is this made in usa or nah?

If it doesn't say USA anywhere, it is Nah! (ie: China)

Q: Does it comes with manufacturer warranty? For how long?

It works like a dream... I don't remember if there was a warranty. We had previously purchased about eight others that failed or to me before we bought this one!

Q: After a year of use mine now doesn't remove the lid: it scores the metal and leaves spikey shards but the lid doesn't come off. Thoughts?

Mine does the same after a year. Cleaning the area that comes in contact with the can with a wet paper towel is helpful. Otherwise you can rotate the can while rotating the lever-not super pleasant but it works.

Q: Does it leave shavings?

No, but don't ask me why not, other than that it might be so tight a cut close to the cover that there is nothing to leave???
