These are very strong hooks, good stainless steel. The little plastic box is convenient in my tackle bag.I like the short shank for live bait and cut bait. The shorter hook seems to hook fish quicker than hooks with longer shanks, maybe because it is more hidden in the bait or is easier to get into the fishes mouth. It just seems like when there is a bite, it is easier to hook the fish with these.Because they are short shank live bait hooks, they look small. I compared them to owner and mustad hooks and the size is the same, not small at all.Overall, excellent. I'll buy more when needed.:)

Nice hooks. Actual box is fairly small which means not BIG hooks. But fine for most live baiting in the lower Chesapeake. I'd use a bigger hook for Drum or perhaps Cobia, but these would work. Fine for stripers, blues, trout, mahi, etc etc.

We do a lot of intercoastal fishing with less than 12 lb line. At around twenty cents a hook its not so bad when we break one off. When a fish swallows the hook (not a keeper) we just cut the line and let it go. The hooks are plenty sharp and strong for the type of fishing we do. If you're fishing with heavy test line (40 lb and up) you might bend one. Hooks come in a small plastic box, a nice one. All in all we're happy with them. Just hope the price doesn't go up, I'm sure I'll be ordering more.

WE USE A LOT OF HOOKS WHEN WE FISH IN BAJA AND WE LOOSE A LOT OF HOOKS TO FISH AND ROCKS. THIS IS A GREAT VALUE FOR THE AMOUNT OF HOOKS YOU GET AND THE QUALITY AND SHARPNESS OF THE HOOKS. THIS IS MY THIRD ORDER AND WELL WORTH IT.

These hooks have rough and sharp edges by the eyelet. The plating flakes off and the metal is soft. Pretty low quality hooks.
