Great eyeliner for oily lids, darker than the swatch
I have THE OILIEST eyelids, and most eyeliners end up smudged all over (and not in a sexy way 😂) even if I never touch my face. This stuff stays put really well all day, especially compared to the pencils I've been trying recently. I used to buy the black version of this product religiously, but as I've aged, I've found black now looks too harsh on me. I was hesitant to buy this particular brown because it looked way too light, but I got sick of the smudgy pencils and went for it. I've was glad to find it is much darker (at least on me) than the picture.... it's a rich, dark brown. So if you want it to be as light as it looks in the "swatch" photo, you might be disappointed. Another thing to note is that you need to give it ~30 seconds to dry after applying... I usually try to keep my eyes half closed while it dries so I don't get smudges on my brow bone from opening my eyes fully when it's still wet.

A good product and good ingredients
IngredientsWater, Sorbitol, Cetyl Alcohol, Iron Oxides, Mica, Jojoba Oil, Bentonite, Bisabolol, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Lecithin, Eyebright Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Cellulose Gum, Hectorite, Grapeseed Extract.Let me say this first about this product, it is a great eyeliner. The brush is firm and is fairly easy to apply. It does need a little time to dry, but I don’t think that is much of a problem. It stays on, even when my eyes water, when I sweat and yes, when I cry. I am impressed.Product ingredients. I am very happy with Zuzu Luxe (and the seller) for having a complete list of ingredients. This was one of the reasons why I chose this product. The description states that “6 gentle and non-irritating liners…” so I checked each of the ingredients and the product rating on EWG.org. EWG.org only had their 2009 formulation, but it matched the ingredient list on Amazon. Here is what EWG.org had to say:The overall score for this product is a “2” out of a possible 10. The scale goes from 1 (low hazard) to 10 (high hazard) and the score is averaged on the scores for each ingredient. However, it also indicates that the data collected was limited and information on the potential toxicity for each ingredient was limited. In general, the high concerns listed were enhanced skin absorption, additive exposure sources, persistence and bioacculation. The one ingredient with the highest rating (3) was lecithin. It is shown to have enhanced skin absorbs ion, multiple additive exposure sources and contamination concerns (Nitrosamines-the presence of nitrosating agents) and use restrictions. The data information was listed as “fair” (“none” meaning there is no scientific literature and “robust” meaning there is substantial scientific literature supporting these concerns. A three places in the middle). It was rated as having no potential for allergies and immunotoxicity (but again there was limited data). I usually look at the first three or four ingredients to give me an indication on how safe it is. In this case water, sorbitol, cetyl alcohol and iron oxides have low to moderate health concerns (of course water being benign).Overall, I am satisfied with the products ingredients and that they have a low potential for causing an allergic reaction. That said, each person is unique and while one chemical may not cause problems for one person, it could very well cause an allergic reaction in another.5 Stars for being honest and having relatively safe ingredients.

Health concern about Mica & Titanium Dioxide
I love the color azure I been using it for years. The only complaint that I wish the company was making this eyeliner without Mica and Titanium Dioxide which is harmful to woman heath.

The eyeliner of eyeliners.
I've tried Revlon, Almay & others and Zuzu beats them! This eye liner has natural ingredients and it delivers lasting stay. I lean towards quality ingredients and that cat eye look. 😉

perfection! (update- not exactly)
im 40 and this is only my second try at liquid liner! im in love! i wasnt sure i could even apply it right but it was easy as pie. i wont use pencil liners again unless i want to smudge them. this creates a nice line and can be applied either thin or thick. the color is to die for as welll. a nice dark purple that almost reads as a natural brown or black. i dont look good in black liners so this is my black. just more umpth than the daily brown i use. i only use natural organic type products which tend to be pricey but this is affordable and awesome.UPDATE: i realized that the vitamin e used is partially synthetic! so i will NOT use this no matter how much i loved it. tocopheryl acetate causes cancers to become aggresive. they use it because it lasts a long time and keeps costs down. i would pay triple for a truly natural product. i dont use gabriel or zuzu luxe anymore and have switched to safer natural companies like 100 percent pure, vapour, and root pretty.

Stays on all day on oily lids
I have very oily eye lids and this eyeliner stays on all day even when I don't set my eyelids. I love the thin point so I can make my line as thin or thick as I want, it's not a brush it seems to be a sponge? Bc of my oily eyelids most eyeliners don't stay on my eyelids or they move around on my eyelid. This eyeliner stays on all day & it's easy to use. If I mess up my line, I use a makeup Q-tip, a little makeup oil remover & fix it. It washes off with my normal face wash routine, no scrubbing.
