STEELWATER HOME SAFE AMBS-360D- Combination Dial- 2 Hour Fire Rated

This arrived UPS, I helped the driver with it...it is 130lbs. It did have minor damage in two corners (dented but not broken through); I elected to keep it. I am sure the damage was from shipping from Korea; the inner box showed damage, but the outer box was perfect. The key lock is a unique dimpled-flat key setup; it would be difficult to copy. It does comes with two keys standard. The combination lock seems flimsy, but it actually works quite well. The mechanisms can be accessed behind a plastic cover from the inside. Both locks run dry -- no lubrication oils used, nothing to seize up, will never fail (!). I suppose if you wanted to, you could change the combination by swapping the tumbler wheels. I left it as is, I had no reason to fiddle with it. I like the dual lock arrangement, very secure, no batteries required...it just works. This was direct shipped from Steelwater and arrived a week earlier than expected. Make sure you are around the day of delivery, to help lift it. Also, keep the original boxes, cut them up into large pieces, and use the cardboard to slide the safe into position...it is too heavy to lift. I lined the inside walls with plank foam, and put a little weatherstripping on the inside of the door frame...this makes for a super-tight seal. I use this safe for my pistols, works great. Awesome purchase, highly recommended!!

This safe works quite well for me. It arrived damaged but Steelwater Gun Safes was responsive and able to resolve the issue quickly which I really appreciated. It's a heavy and solid safe. It has a combination that is provided and it cannot be opened without the key also, so it has two layers of safety. It fits my laptop and other items and has enough room for my needs. Good purchase.

Arrived damaged ,seller offered to replace or refund $100. Chose to keep and get a refund, as it was already in the house and it is very heavy. Damage was cosmetic. Safe very sturdy comes with keys and a combination lock.

A great safe that requires no electronics or batteries. It is super THICC and gets the job done of being a safe place to store treasures like gold, jewels or even glocks. Highly accurate combination lock with key is ideal. Definitely can recommend.Note: this big boi is a heavy beast and might get banged up a bit while shipping. Mine had 2 of the corners a bit flattened but it doesn't damage the integrity of the safe. Just ignore this if it doesn't make it unSAFE.

Can someone crack it? Probably.Can someone run off with it? Given enough time.But someone is going to have to commit some time to either to get the contents. I mean, lets face it, there aren't a ton of amateur safe crackers out there randomly breaking into house in hopes of finding a safe to open. That leaves someone with a prybar. ( I don't keep one in the house) Is it quicker to pry the safe off the floor or pry open the door? I have know idea but I'm pretty sure the typical smash and grab is going to have a hard time making off with anything out of this safe.I will say its a little smaller than I had hoped but I think there are plenty of warnings about that in the reviews. I think they saying is something along the lines of always but more than you expect you'll need. but I am happy with the volume, the security and the concealability.

I received the safe early in the estimated delivery window. While the outer pkg looked good there were several dents on the safe -- cosmetic and not affecting its function, so I was willing to live with it and avoid the hassle of moving this very heavy item. Mention of this issue in the seller feedback did result in a prompt call from the seller with the option of another safe or a partial refund -- points for customer satisfaction.Given the size and weight of the package, shipping damage is a problem. A couple of pieces of cardboard and some foam is not going to protect a 120+ lb safe from drop damage. I'd suggest putting a Shockwatch on the pkg that would alert the customer with a visual indication when the safe had been mishandled -- a drop resulting in a g level about a threshold would break a vial with a dye in it. Another thought would be putting a wood frame around the edges would have the wood take the damage and would spread the impact forces to help protect the safe.I hope that I never have to test the fire rating on this safe. I live in an area prone to wildfires, so that under those conditions a 2 hour fire rating might not be enough if the whole block is on fire. Another fireproof option would be to use a waterproof container and drop it into a swimming pool, if I had one....

This safe is extremely sturdy with no outside plastic parts. It is also heavy which should be a deterrent in itself against theft. It holds all my important papers with plenty of room to spare.

It's well build and sturdy.
