Nice overview
The information within is good, but I wouldn't use my kindle as a field guide, which I feel like this is

Wonderful resource for nature lovers of all ages!
This book is chock full of wonderful information for those looking to expand their knowledge of Alaskan plants, animals, trees, ecology, glaciology and more. It's written in an approachable way allowing both novices and experienced naturalists to glean something new from it and deepen their own connection to the world. The illustrations are equally beautiful and accurate. It is not just scientific, but also highlights the interconnectedness of animals to each other, humans to animals and plants, and many other reciprocal relationships within the natural world. I'm sending it to everyone I know who lives in or visits Alaska! I'd say, don't leave home without this trail companion.

Alaska Illustrated Guide for the Curious is Inseparable to Me in the Wilderness of Alaska
Jeff Wohl is an enigma, shining through words and hand-drawn artisanship that emboldens and encompasses the paper held within its covers. If you happen to know Jeff, you might say he is: passionate, knowledgeable, caring, curious, and an expert for all things pertaining to the wilderness. Jeff is a NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) instructor, and, personally taught me how camp for twelve icy days during the furious winter in the Rockies of Wyoming. Our friendship has since blossomed, and I just can't speak highly enough of Jeff or his book. Jeff, thank you so much for your mentor-ship and this amazing creation. I tell everyone I can so we can help you keep this peach of a dream alive for you. Take care my friend. ~ Matt
