I purchased two new cast iron pans and I wanted to insure that they were properly cleaned. I received the Clark products and they both work well cleaning and condition the pans.

Simply put, the brush is sturdy, the soap and oil is light and natural, and the pads hold up well. I seasoned my new dutch oven and 12” fry pan, plus the hood. The oil is great for day-to-day, but seasoning, it seems like the smoke point is high. Still, very great products. I’ll be purchasing again!

Hurricane Laura caused some slight water damage to our cast iron pots. We are still without electricity but have running water so my son and I sat down today to clean them up.The one pot pictured was the worst. It will need an extra coat a couple more times, but I am absolutely happy with how easy this was to use and how beautiful everything turned out.I read reviews about heating issues with the oil. You don’t need to heat this one. I used coconut oil before I ordered this set and never heated that either. It’s a great oil to use.The brush that came with this set was great at removing the majority of rust we had forming on our pots. There are a few deep set rust spots that needed extra attention. I used salt and a chain mail scrubber for those. I will be ordering another brush to have on hand.The one thing I didn’t care for was the oil sponge. It left some lint at first and quickly became dirty. I’m not sure how to clean it well yet. Maybe once we have electricity and hot water again it will come clean.This will definitely be what I use from now on. My cleaning routine: scrape out excess food, wipe out with paper towel, wet the brush and shake off excess water, use the brush to lather up a little (nickel sized amount) soap all over the pot, rinse, dry with a flour sack towel (leaves no lint) coat with the oil and put pot aside or up in cabinet.

I am so glad I purchased the Clark cast iron cleaner from Amazon. We bought this cast iron from someone and after I saw the condition of it I was really dreading this cleaning process. I wasn’t sure what to use to help clean this and saw this product on Amazon and thought I would give it a try. Needless to say it was a game changer for me. For many, the care needed to properly take care of such fine products such as cast iron, imbue the unknowing with abject dread! Case in point, my roommate was continually mystified as to the proper etiquette when cleaning such devices. Probably not helped by my sudden screams of terror when I saw soap getting on one of my iron skillets. So I opted to do something nice and purchase the proper soap for Cast Iron Skillets along with specified oil so that there could no longer be a question of what should be used. So here we are and I am now in possession of this fine quality product that as you can see by my handy photos, give a nice example of just how well it works! My roommate rejoiced and I can now live peacefully knowing that there are now bottles of the product clearly labeled near the sink. <3

Worked very well. Didn't get the little bit of hard baked on stuff at first. A gentle rub of brillo helped. After drying and oiling it looks brand new.

Works great for my iron pans, excellent soap to help with the worst greasy pan clean up without stripping the seasoning. And the oil has been working well to recoat before storing and use.

Since using this my skillet has set off the smoke alarm almost every time I used it. Throwing out the oil. So. Bad value

The soap and brush clean great, the oil goes on nice and smooth with the applicator.Smells decent during the seasoning process.I recommend!

I had been searching for a cleaning and treating product that actually works.With this combination of soap and brush, along with the oil and applicator pad, I have found a product that does the job very well.I had not used sufficient oil in my cast iron frying pan, and had issues with potatoe pancakes sticking.Once the pan cooled off, I scraped the large portion of the stuck spuds out of the pan using a wooden spatula, then, I used a few drops of the soap, with warm water and the provided brush to remove the remaining food in a very few minutes.After rinsing the pan, as well as drying it completely, it was a very easy task to apply a thin layer of oil on all surfaces of the pan.I have used the products on my second cast iron pan, and my bread baking form, with positive results.My bread comes easily out of the form without sticking and the patina is getting better with every use.A very good product that really works!

Brilliant kit for my cast iron pans and Dutch ovens . Good cleaning brush and applicator sponge/cloth.Oil is mainly high quality food grade coconut oil which doesn’t go rancid. Apply very thinly and it lasts for ages and will not smoke if put on thinly .Protects cast iron cookware to help last a lifetime .

Overall a very great kit! A little but pricey but hopefully each item will last a while. The scrubbing brush cracked around the edges in the first few uses (does not affect use)- the company was nice enough to send out a replacement no questions asked. Very great communication and customer service. The oil has a neutral smell and brings the cast iron back to life. The soap is used rarely but AMAZING for getting fish smell or curry etc out of the pans after use. Also, you only really need a few drops as it goes a long way. The oil applicator is great as well. I made the mistake of using it after camping so it turned black but that is 100% my fault and it still works amazing... holds the oil well and doesn't spread fluff on the pans. Highly recommend this set if you're a new or seasoned cast iron user!

So far so good, will update after a few weeks of using the products.
