Do Not Buy. This machine came defective out of the box. It would fill with water then error code PS5.

The washer is fine. It was the seller A1Quil, that was the problem. Firstly, the delivered washer was dented top and front. secondly, it was a nightmare to get the seller to pick up the damaged washer (took a month). Thirdly, the seller slow walked the refund. They were difficult to deal with, tried to charge a restocking fee of $300. When finally they were forced to also refund their $300 restocking fee they tried to keep $50 back for some crazy tax. Finally, I went to Amazon and got the $50 back. I ended up buying it locally. Live and Learn. The whole thing took months to resolve.

Did not buy from amazon but wanted others to know. I recently purchased a speed queen washer in October because of their great reputation and warranty. For the first two months, the washer machine ran great. In January, the washer started to not perform as well. Previously, my clothes would almost be dry in the spin cycle , where my dryer wouldn't have to run very long. Now, I have to run my dryer multiple times to get my clothes completely dry , and the clothes coming out of the washer are drenched. Then, the washer started to leak a bunch of water out of the bottom. I called the warranty company, thinking this would be no big deal they would quickly repair this under warranty. I was contacted by the repair company Solar to schedule a day to come repair. We had unfortunate weather that delayed our appointment a week. Then the company sayed they were backed up, which delayed them another week. Finally, I got a technician to come look at my appliance, and he ended up having to call speed queen to try to troubleshoot the issue. They determined that the drum needed to be removed, and he didn't have the correct tools to be able to remove the drum. We went another week before we complained to the warranty company for speed queen. Finally, the warranty company sent the correct tools to Solar so they could make the repair on February 11th. Solar contacted me day a later and said they would come make the repair on the 17th or the 18th. Then we were contacted on the 17th to say they would have to reschedule for the 20th of February. Now, I was contacted today saying they would need to reschedule. The scheduler for Solar said she would call me back by 5 p.m., and I never received a call. We have no choice but to use the washer while it constantly leaks water on the ground. I am very disappointed with the warranty coverage by speed queen, and I would never recommend Solar to anyone.

Speed Queen 26-inch Top Load Washer has changed my laundry experience! And the Perfect Wash feature is the best thing ever, because it lets me adjust each wash cycle to the exact care each fabric needs. I’m consistently impressed with how clean my clothes come out, all while knowing they’re being treated gently. The machine is very versatile and precise; it would be an excellent choice for anyone who wants to take their laundry to the next level. I'm so glad I made this purchase, it is really an upgrade in every aspect, reliability, power, and fabric care! Highly recommend!

This washer does not clean the clothes.

YOU ARE WARNED. Proceed with caution! This is a flawed design. It may be well-made. But it’s a flawed design. It does not clean clothes. It simply doesn’t. To be honest I am surprised there has not been a class action lawsuit against Speed Queen for this product.Well, I guess it ends up that you really do need an agitator which turns if you want to clean your clothes. This machine is gentle on your clothes. This may be true. But your clothes will be always be dirty. So there’s that.We bought this machine, like I bought my first Mercedes E class, without doing too much research. The E class pretty much defines the midsize, well-made car market, and I assumed it was going to do its job pretty well. It did and it does. Unfortunately, we bought the Speed Queen without doing much research. After all, why even look into it. It’s an SPEED QUEEN! Ends up we should have done some research.Apparently it has a fixed agitator? You wouldn’t know because the door locks so you can’t see what’s going on. But whatever’s going on in there, not much cleaning is happening. I’ve tried every detergent. I’ve tried using more water, less water, Never have I had such a problem getting my clothes clean. Never have I had a washing machine which doesn’t wash clothes.I am not a landscaper. I works in a clean environment. My kids are older and they don’t have Play-Doh stuck on their clothes or grass burns. Ring around the collar? “Whisk around the collar to get out ring around the collar.” Remember that advertisement? Don’t worry, Whisk ain’t gonna get it out with this machine. Just throw your shirts away and buy new ones. (Does Whisk even still exist?)Ironically, with this machine, the fact that is designed to last seven years is a negative. This is the only washing machine I’ve ever owned where I’m looking forward to it dying so I can buy one that actually cleans clothes. In fact, even though I’ve had this machine for less than a year, I’m going to get rid of it and get a new one. I will gladly replace this washing machine with a so-called “designed obsolescence” machine that actually, you know, cleans clothes. I’m going to sell it. In fact, even if I have tongive it away, it’s going so I can get a machine that cleans clothes!Consumer reports was right when I gave this the worst ranking washing machine of 2018. Apparently SPEED QUEEN made some changes to it after that review. It went from “poor” to “fair” — not a great distinction for the most expensive top loading washing machine you can buy.This machine is supposed to wash clothes. It doesn’t.In the photo above, you can see a dog mud print on sheets. I washed it in hot water, with the best detergent you can buy, on the most dirty setting. It’s as if I didn’t even wash them. The second photo is the same sheet after I removed that stain WITH A DAMP WASHCLOTH! So difficult it was not to get out. This thing simply does not clean textiles. It is truly worthless and I’m not exaggerating. .
