The Moribund Portal: Spectral Resonance and the Numen of the Gallows

Very well put together work from Mr. Gavin delving into the Gnosis of the gallows with his particular gift for word poetry and creating dark atmospheres. A lot of the lore and legends (specific ones) discussed were new to me and very interesting. Although I wouldn't say our paths are completely similar its easy to take bits from pieces like this and draw inspiration into my own personal practice.

This book is barely 100 pages in length, not the 176 pgs that’s listed in the description.

As a horror fiction writer RG is quite the artist, one of the masters. His non fiction is good if you're into the sinister ethos he follows, but I feel he's still developing in this genre. For me it didn't discuss the liminal states he writes of with enough depth. Also I'm suspicious of the LHP publishers who charge £40, £50 & more for a slim hardback, however nice they look. It's a rip off!
