I am going to wind yarn on these to use for making socks on a circular sock machine. I have been using smaller cones for approximately 50g (1.75oz) of yarn on each. The smaller cones were purchased elsewhere. The smaller cones have been adequate but these larger cones will allow for less tangling of the yarn at the top. The larger cones are slightly less sturdy and I cut a small notch in the bottom rim to allow for correct placement near the machine. Now that I know that I like them, I would like to find a source that is less exspensive.

I glued mother of pearl shells I collected to this and made beautiful decorations out of them

I used these to make popsicle Christmas trees with my VBS kids. They worked well, were well made and are sturdy. Even tho they say they are made of paper mache, it is really more like a thick cardboard. Very please with the product for the price.

These are what you would expect in a cardboard cone tree. They were priced well and the 2 day shipping is great. The only problem was they were in a plastic envelope and one tree had a smashed top but it wasn’t unusable.

Product was fine only thought it was thicker.
