How do you stop this from dripping?

If it is from below the sink around the large nut ,I’ve have always used a good quality silicone to bed the waste into the sink and filled the gap around the threaded waste below the sink before tightening the large nut and washer on .

12 months I think, will soon find out as ours snapped yesterday and I am going to attempt to send it back.
